Role Overview

We are looking for a experienced Senior Accountant to join our international Finance and Accounting team. You will oversee the accounting operations, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards, and providing strategic financial insights to support decision-making processes. Bring your sharp analytical mindset and solid accounting expertise to high‑impact, multi‑stream work—collaborating with a supportive international team across our near‑ and offshore locations

 

What you do:

  • You will prepare financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with HGB/IFRS with the support of Near- and Offshore teams.
  • You will manage month-end and year-end closing processes, including reconciliations, journal entries, and variance analysis with the support of Near- and Offshore teams.
  • You will lead the annual audit process, collaborating with external auditors and providing necessary documentation.
  • You will develop and implement accounting procedures to improve the efficiency and accuracy.
  • You will oversee tax-related matters as an interface to Group Tax and ensure tax compliance with the support of Near- and Offshore teams.
  • You will monitor cash flow  and cash management with the support of Near- and Offshore teams
  • You will collaborate with diverse teams to support business initiatives and financial projects.
  • You will maintain up-to-date knowledge of accounting standards and industry best practices.
  • You will support the optimization and implementation of SAP FI systems, ensuring seamless integration with existing financial processes.
  • You will train and support team members in the use of SAP FI systems, ensuring efficient use and troubleshooting issues.

 

What you bring:

  • Master's degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or CMA certification.
  • Minimum of 6 years of experience in accounting, with a focus on financial closing, reporting and analysis.
  • Knowledge of HGB/IFRS and experience with financial audits.
  • Basic tax understanding and fundamental knowledge in the area of treasury.
  • Proficiency in accounting software SAP FI and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Structured, analytical, versatile, and resourceful at turning issues into results.
  • Proficiency in English and German, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey complex financial information.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Hands-on mentality and strong coordination skills between nearshore and offshore teams.
