Role Overview
The job is part of the Risk Operation team, focusing on enterprise risk management and operational risk management. The objective of Risk Operation team is to ensure that the risks of Allianz Services are properly managed, to provide an oversight on the risk profile, assist organization in assessing risks and controls as well as in developing mitigating strategies and to ensure proper reporting internally and to Group.
In your role as an Risk Operation team member, you will support AZ Services Risk Management Function in coordinating risk oversight, risk reporting and risk governance topics centrally and locally. Furthermore, you’ll be driving key operational risk initiatives, innovation and ad-hoc projects as well as maintaining strong relationship and collaboration with business functions across Allianz Services and Allianz Group center functions.
The role is based in Munich and will be directly report to the Head of Enterprise Risk Management of Allianz Services. You will join a diverse expert team located globally.
What you do
- Support regular review and update of the Risk Strategy and Risk Policy of AZ Services and related guidance such as Non-Financial Risk Management Functional Rule and Risk Committee Rules of Procedure; support and follow-up of the global Risk Management governance and methodologies roll-out; co-ordination and training of Risk Officers in all involved locations
- Oversight and support of the Non-Financial Risk Management framework (NFRM) lifecycle on a global scale including all risk domains and all lifecycle steps, such as Scoping, Risk & Control Assessment, Quality Assurance, Control Testing and Reporting to AZ Services top management and Group reporting.
- Review of risk profiles/ risk assessments for new projects and new/ modified services;
- Support in designing the annual risk awareness campaign, creating new initiatives and approaches to increase risk awareness and knowledge of risk management processes
- Preparation of reporting to the quarterly Risk Committee and other company’s committees (e.g. Governance and Control Committee, Board of Management meeting)
- Maintain close collaboration with safeguarding functions, with first line of defense entities; support the development and implementation of cross-functional projects and initiatives.
- Support the Risk Management Function in providing guidance and sharing knowhow including best practices through knowledge documents, periodic ad-hoc trainings and learning sessions.
- Provide support and assistance to first line of defense in building assurance reporting to client OEs.
What you bring
- University degree (Business Administration, Business Mathematics) or equivalent qualification
- 5+ years of professional experience ideally in risk management, compliance, data privacy. Project management skills are a plus.
- Basic knowledge of regulatory environment and international standards for service provider in the finance sector (VAIT, DORA, COSO, COBIT, ISAE 3402, ISO) .
- Outstanding analytical and conceptual skills; Capability to develop solutions based on a strong technical argumentation and an excellent balance between risk and return.
- Ability to understand complex issues, elaborate and convey information clearly and effectively in respect to the audience / level of management (both verbal and in writing) and at the same time to reduce complexity
- Ability to work independently, managing multiple priorities and simultaneous deadlines.
- Capability to build collaborative working relationships and ability to work in virtual and international teams, international experience is a plus
- Reliable, flexible, and precise solution-oriented working approach combined with a "can-do" attitude.
- Self-directed working approach with the ability to work self-responsible and autonomously.
- Fluent English and German skills (written and spoken).
