Role Overview:
We are looking for a curious and motivated junior colleague to help shape the future of insurance and financial services through data-driven diagnostics and process intelligence. You have recently completed your studies or gained first practical experience and are eager to learn how processes, data, and technology come together to drive productivity.
The Junior Diagnostics Specialist will join “Productivity Solutions & Innovation” (PSI) within the Allianz Services CTO area – a global team of 200+ technology enthusiasts, transformation specialists, AI experts, process engineers, and data scientists.
Diagnostics approaches like Process and Task Mining play a foundational role in this setup: by creating transparency on how work is executed and where inefficiencies exist, diagnostics helps determine where AI and automation should (and should not) be applied. Your work will contribute to building and scaling Allianz Services’ Diagnostics capabilities, support Operating Entities in adopting process- and data-driven decision-making and ultimately help Allianz transform where it matters.
What you do:
• Support process and productivity diagnostics using process mining, task mining, and analytical methods, with a clear focus on identifying AI and automation opportunities.
• Analyze process data to identify manual effort, bottlenecks, variability, rework, and exception patterns that inform automation and AI prioritization.
• Work closely with colleagues from AI adoption, automation, and implementation teams, ensuring diagnostics insights are aligned with downstream solution design.
• Contribute to the development and continuous improvement of Allianz Services’ diagnostics approaches, tools, and best practices.
• Assist in data preparation, validation, and analysis, helping to establish reliable and reusable diagnostic foundations for Operating Entities.
• Help translate analytical findings into clear insights and recommendations that support data-driven decisions at team and management level.
• Support senior team members in scoping diagnostics, structuring analyses, and linking insights to productivity and value hypotheses.
• Participate in client and internal workshops to help discuss diagnostic results and their implications for transformation initiatives.
• Support project coordination and documentation across diagnostics and related AI / automation initiatives.
What you bring:
• Strong interest in analytics, processes, and the practical application of AI and automation in a business context.
• First experience (internships, working student roles, thesis projects) in Process/Task Mining, data analysis, process analysis, automation, or digital transformation is a plus.
• Motivation to contribute to building scalable capabilities, not just delivering individual analyses.
• You use ChatGPT or similar tools to support learning, analysis, and structured problem solving.
• Basic understanding of processes, KPIs, data analytics, automation, AI, or process mining concepts.
• Analytical mindset with the ability to move from data to insight to recommendation.
• Clear communication skills and enjoyment of working in cross-functional, international teams.
• Comfortable creating slides, visualizations, or simple dashboards and explaining results.
• A hands-on, learning-oriented mindset and openness to feedback and coaching.
• Higher education degree (or close to completion) in business administration, industrial engineering, economics, data/computer science, IT, or comparable fields.
• We highly welcome candidates with a genuine interest and affinity for Information Technology (IT) and Generative Artificial Intelligence (GenAI), as these attributes are considered valuable assets to our team.
What we offer:
• We offer a hybrid work model which recognizes the value of striking a balance between in-person collaboration and remote working incl. up to 25 days per year working from abroad
• We believe in rewarding performance and our compensation and benefits package includes a company bonus scheme, pension, employee shares program and multiple employee discounts (details vary by location)
• From career development and digital learning programs to international career mobility, we offer lifelong learning for our employees worldwide and an environment where innovation, delivery and empowerment are fostered
• Flexible working, health and wellbeing offers (including healthcare and parental leave benefits) support to balance family and career and help our people return from career breaks with experience that nothing else can teach
