Department Description & Job Purpose

The Productivity Solutions & Innovation (PS&I) team is a global group of 200+ specialists within Allianz Services, dedicated to driving AI-powered productivity and hyperautomation at scale across the Allianz Group. We operate at the intersection of cutting-edge AI research and real-world enterprise delivery – from GenAI advisory to full-scale implementation.

As a Working Student in the PS&I team, you will be an active contributor to transformative AI projects that shape the future of one of the world’s largest insurance groups. You will work alongside experienced engineers and consultants, gaining hands-on experience with modern AI technologies such as large language models, agentic AI systems, and intelligent automation platforms.

This role is ideal for students who are passionate about AI, eager to bridge theory and practice, and ready to make a real impact in a fast-paced, international environment.

Key responsibilities

• Support in designing and developing AI-powered solutions (GenAI, agentic AI systems)

· Assist in building prototypes and proof-of-concepts using Python

· Research and evaluate new AI tools, frameworks, and automation technologies

· Support in preparing workshops, documentation, and presentations for stakeholders

· Collaborate with engineers and consultants on end-to-end project delivery

· Contribute to testing, quality assurance, and continuous improvement of AI solutions

Key requirements

· Enrollment in a German University (for working student positions) or (for an internship) in a gap year. Student status throughout the duration of the contract.

· Basic to intermediate Python programming skills

· First experience with AI, Machine Learning, or automation technologies

· Strong analytical thinking and eagerness to learn new concepts

· Good communication skills in English; German is a plus

· Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure/AWS) or AI frameworks (LangChain, etc.) is a plus

· You can start immediately and are interested in a working student position - part time (16-20 h/week)
