Data Analytics and Artificial Intelligence continue to strongly accelerate technological transformation across all business areas of the insurance industry. Allianz Deutschland is therefore building new expertise, processes, and infrastructure to harness the potential of Data Analytics. With us, you will work at the heart of one of the most important future fields in our industry.

We manage, oversee, and holistically shape the strategy, processes, and infrastructure in the area of Data Analytics — for both Business Intelligence and "Big Data" applications. Together with various stakeholders from the business divisions, we develop the Data Analytics strategy and project roadmap, and are responsible for building a modern infrastructure.

In the "Overarching" team, we build and manage cross-divisional data products and are looking for support in the area of Data Engineering at the earliest possible date.

What you do

You will work on a strategic, group-wide initiative within a cross-functional team using agile project management methods.
In doing so, you will gradually take on your own work packages in the area of Data Engineering (implementation, monitoring, etc.).
You will get to know cloud technologies for analytics applications.
You will work with exciting technologies (e.g., Snowflake, dbt, Kafka, Python, SQL, Amazon Web Services, GitHub, Microsoft Power BI).

What you bring

In your studies, you have chosen a focus on (Business) Informatics, Software Engineering, or Data Analytics.
You have strong analytical and conceptual skills.
You have advanced SQL knowledge and practical experience working with SQL databases.
You bring practical experience with cloud technologies, preferably Amazon Web Services (AWS).
You have advanced knowledge of Python as a programming language in combination with Git.
Ideally, you bring experience with the dbt + Snowflake stack.
Ideally, you have already gained initial experience with CI/CD processes in the DevOps area.
You have business-fluent German and good English language skills.
Basic knowledge of AI technologies, their principles, and practical application.

You can start immediately and are interested in a working student position for 6 months - part time (16-20 h/week)
