The MultiChannelSales tribe (MCS) focuses on sustainable growth through technical excellence and data-driven approaches to build and maintain valuable customer relationships. With innovative campaign platforms and tailored approaches across all channels, we support the sales team in achieving long-term success and creating real added value for our customers.

In the CORDS (Customer Oriented Reliable Data-Driven Services) team, we are developing a central control logic for a differentiated customer approach that is tailored to the individual needs of customers. We not only lay the foundation for successful data-based customer control by building a high-quality database but also offer comprehensive services for the effective use of this data.

As a working student, you will contribute to production data solutions and gradually take ownership of your own data-engineering tasks—from development and testing to deployment and monitoring.

What you do

• You will work on a strategic, cross-divisional project within a cross-functional agile team.
• You’ll develop and maintain batch data pipelines and ETL/ELT processes using AWS Glue and SQL, working with data in Snowflake and MongoDB.
• You’ll build and enhance real-time stream-processing applications using Apache Kafka and Apache Flink.
• You’ll implement data transformations and help ensure the performance, scalability, reliability, and data quality of our applications.
• You’ll test applications, support CI/CD deployments using GitHub, Jenkins, Terraform, and AWS, and monitor them in production.
• You’ll work closely with business analysts, product owners, architects, DevOps engineers, data engineers, and other development teams throughout the complete development lifecycle.

What you bring

• You are currently studying computer science, data engineering, information systems, business informatics, or a comparable subject.
• You have good SQL skills and a basic understanding of databases, data modeling, and ETL/ELT processes.
• You have programming experience, ideally in Java and Python, and understand fundamental software-engineering concepts such as version control, automated testing, clean code practices, and CI/CD processes.
• Initial experience with technologies such as AWS, Snowflake, MongoDB, Kafka, Flink, Jenkins, or Terraform is a plus—but you are not expected to know our complete technology stack.
• You are curious, proactive, and analytically strong—motivated to understand both the technical solution and its underlying business case, and to gradually take ownership of your own tasks.
• You have a good command of English; German skills are helpful but not required.
• You are available immediately for a working student position (16–20 hours per week for at least one year).
