We are seeking a motivated Working Student – SIEM Engineer to support our Allianz Cyber Defence Center (ACDC). In this role, you will assist with the configuration, monitoring, and optimization of our SIEM system to ensure real-time security visibility and compliance. 

 

What you do

  • Assist in configuring and maintaining the SIEM platform (e.g., Google SecOps).
  • Support the onboarding of new log sources into the SIEM environment.
  • Aid in the documentation of log source onboarding.
  • Help identify coverage gaps due to missing logs.

 

What you bring

  • Pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
  • Basic understanding of network protocols, system logs, and cybersecurity principles.
  • Knowledge of operating systems (Windows, Linux) and logging mechanisms.
  • Basic knowledge of AI technologies, principles, and their practical use.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with scripting (e.g., Python, Bash) is a plus.
