Job Purpose/Role

As the Head of Tied Agent Networks for Allianz Central Europe, you will play a pivotal role in delivering our "Road to Growth" strategy across the region. This high-impact leadership position is focused on enhancing the performance, capability, and effectiveness of our tied agent networks across all operating entities to achieve ambitious sales targets.

In this role, you will lead a community of local Heads of Tied Agents through functional reporting lines, acting as their strategic partner, coach, and enabler. Your mission is clear: empower local teams to succeed by implementing best practices, driving joint initiatives, challenging sales performance, and ensuring our tied agent networks have the tools and knowledge needed to thrive. From improving sales productivity and driving digitalization to fostering collaboration and scaling successful approaches across markets with varying maturity levels, your contributions will directly support our "Road to Growth."

This role offers a unique opportunity to shape distribution strategy at a regional level, collaborate closely with senior stakeholders across the region and Allianz Group, and make a tangible impact on our growth trajectory. Your journey starts here!

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop a high-performing regional community of local Heads of Tied Agents across all operating entities through functional leadership, fostering collaboration and shared commitment to our "Road to Growth" strategy; act as the host for the regional functional community.
  • Challenge and support local teams on sales plans, driving sales productivity and effectiveness to achieve and exceed ambitious targets; leverage data-driven insights to guide this process.
  • Design and implement regional training and capability-building initiatives to upskill local teams and elevate performance.
  • Identify, capture, and scale best practices across the region, creating a culture of continuous learning and excellence.
  • Drive strategic joint projects and initiatives to enhance the effectiveness of tied agent networks.
  • Serve as the regional interface to Allianz Group (GSMD) in Munich, ensuring alignment and bringing global best practices to the region.
  • Collaborate closely with the regional CPO function to align product and distribution strategies.
  • Build trusted partnerships with local leaders, operating entity management, and regional stakeholders.

Key Requirements/Skills/Experience

Qualification:

  • University degree in Business, Economics, or a related field.
  • Fluent in English; proficiency in at least one Central European language is preferred.
  • 10+ years of experience in insurance distribution, sales, or tied agent network management.
  • Deep knowledge of the Central European insurance market and distribution landscape.
  • Proven track record of driving sales performance and leading distribution teams.

Experience & Key Skills:

  • Proven distribution/sales leadership: Demonstrated success in leading tied agent networks, sales teams, or distribution functions. Experience as Head of Tied Agents or Head of Sales Support in an operating entity is highly valued.
  • Functional leadership and stakeholder management: Strong ability to lead, inspire, and drive results through influence rather than direct authority. Proven experience managing complex stakeholder environments and effectively presenting to senior audiences across cultures.
  • Strategic execution and change leadership: Comfortable shaping regional strategy while supporting local teams in achieving their goals. Experience driving transformation across markets with varying maturity levels.
  • Best practice champion and coach: Skilled at identifying successful approaches, scaling them across teams, and developing others. A natural enabler who enjoys building capabilities.
  • Analytical, results-oriented, and entrepreneurial: Strong analytical skills to interpret performance data, develop pragmatic solutions, and deliver results in a lean regional holding environment with competing priorities.
  • Digital and AI affinity: Understanding of digitalization trends in distribution and a strong interest in leveraging AI applications to enhance agent productivity and effectiveness.

For this position, we offer a yearly gross salary of at least EUR 120,000 (full-time basis). Overpayment is possible depending on relevant experience, qualifications, and commitment.
