Director of Internal IT and Projects Department (f/m/d)

Allianz Poland, part of the global Allianz Group – one of the world’s largest providers of financial services – is seeking an experienced leader for the position of Director of Internal IT and Projects Department. This is a key role within the organization, responsible for the entire scope of internal IT operations as well as the management of the company’s strategic project portfolio.
Responsibilities:
- Preparing, implementing, and ensuring the execution of the IT strategy
- Defining requirements, implementing, and managing IT architecture in accordance with Allianz SE standards and best practices
- Developing, maintaining, and monitoring internal IT standard
- Supervising IT service provider contracts and overseeing their execution
- Ensuring the performance, availability, and stability of IT services
- Managing incidents and service requests
- Overseeing IT risk management within the Department’s scope of responsibility
- Reporting on the quality and performance of IT services
- Providing management information in the IT area
- Managing the IT budget – planning, monitoring, and optimizing costs
- Managing the portfolio of strategic and business projects at Allianz Poland, ensuring alignment with the company’s strategy
- Board-level strategic advisory in Project Portfolio Management
- Leading the department’s employees, including:
o planning activities, setting goals, and monitoring performance
o defining key performance indicators
o evaluating team members and supporting their development
o fostering behaviors aligned with organizational values and maintaining motivation and engagement
o ensuring compliance of activities with applicable laws, procedures, and standards
Requirements:
- University degree
- Minimum 8–10 years of experience in IT, including at least 5 years in a managerial role overseeing IT/ Architecture/ IT Operations
- Experience in managing teams, including competence development and employee motivatio
- Proven experience in developing, implementing, and enforcing IT strategies and enterprise architecture in large organizations
- Experience in building and maintaining internal IT standards
- Experience in managing a portfolio of strategic projects
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with business and technology stakeholders at both operational and executive levels
- Very good command of English (B2/C1), enabling effective communication in a business environment
- Knowledge of project management methodologies and tools, with practical experience in their implementation
