About the Job
As a Requirements Engineer, you take on a central role in analyzing, structuring, and documenting business requirements for complex IT systems in the insurance domain. You act as an interface between business and IT, ensuring that requirements are clear, complete, and actionable. You support projects from the early concept phase to implementation, significantly contributing to the quality and future viability of our systems.
What you do
- Analyze, define, and document business and system requirements using established methods (IREB standards)
- Structure and prioritize requirements in close collaboration with Product Owners, business units, and agile development teams
- Create use cases, user stories, process models, and business specifications
- Participate in workshops and alignment meetings with stakeholders
- Ensure business consistency across all phases and support acceptance testing
- Evaluate change requests and analyze their business impact
- Support IT architecture and development in solution finding and quality assurance
What you bring
- Solid knowledge in requirements engineering, modeling, and analysis methods (e.g., BPMN, UML, User Story Mapping)
- Several years of professional experience in requirements engineering or business analysis
- Experience in the insurance sector or other similar industries
- Ability to communicate complex topics clearly, structured, and tailored to the audience
- Strong stakeholder management skills and experience in moderating diverse interest groups
- Degree in computer science, business informatics, or a comparable field (or equivalent professional experience)
- Excellent German and English skills (spoken and written)
- IREB certification is a plus
- Basic knowledge of AI technologies, principles, and their practical use
