We are currently hiring a Head of BD Wholesale Switzerland (f/m/d) for our Zuerich office.
What you will do
- Lead and develop AllianzGI’s Wholesale business in Switzerland across different client segments including Global Financial Institutions, Private Banks, Wealth Managers, other regional and local intermediaries and covering our whole range of investment management products including private markets space
- Design and implement a local business and distribution strategy that will ensure the achievement of the growth and revenue targets set for the Swiss Wholesale market, understanding and developing key growth and diversification drivers for AllianzGI’s success over the long term
- Coordinate activities, process and change handling where appropriate with the functions in Global Banks and European Business Management
- Manage and develop the local Wholesale team
- Ensure the optimization of the local business & local resources through the use of all relevant functions within the firm such as Business Management, Marketing and Communications, Legal and Compliance, Investments, Risks, Finance, HR, IT, etc.
- Be an active Member of the European Wholesale Ecosystem that shares and discusses AllianzGI’s distribution strategy on a monthly basis
- Point of contact for local Anti Money Laundering (AML) regulator.
What you bring
- University degree or equivalent, professional certifications such as CFA, CAIA, FRM, AZEK etc. are beneficial
- Extensive sales experience (typically 10+ years) in asset management, private banking, advisory sales or similar roles with a successful and proven sales track record
- Deep knowledge of the Swiss wholesale market
- Demonstrated leadership experience in managing and developing teams, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture
- In-depth theoretical and practical knowledge of common investment vehicles, alternative investment products, and client engagement strategies
- Strong negotiation skills, service orientation, and a customer-focused approach to enhance client relationships
- Commitment to teamwork, solution-oriented mindset, and creative implementation skills to drive client engagement initiatives
- Capability to optimally present and position investment products and strategies in front of professional investors
- Proficiency in English plus either German or French is required, Italian or any other language skills are a plus.
