Internal Auditor (m/f/d)

Assignments of the internal auditor include identifying and evaluating risk, drafting audit programs and executing routine to complex audit program steps. You will advise managers and their departments on how to improve the controls and provides recommendations. The Auditor writes audit reports, supports closing meetings and verifies that recommendations were implemented in the follow-up process.
Strong technical and ethical characteristics are fundamental to audit success. An auditor should maintain appropriate technical skills as well as agility and a commitment to continuous learning.
What you do
- Support the completion of the audit plan and contribute to identifying risk-based audit areas, analyze audit results and support to develop proposals for solution and the preparation of closing meetings.
- Maintain the audit system and documentation and support audit report writing whilst also complying with the audit policies and the respective standards.
- Support improvements of workflows, processes, security standards and documentation requirements.
- Verify if the audit’s suggested measures were accomplished (follow up).
- Take responsibility for the relationship with the auditees (deal with challenging situations and understand different perspectives).
- Contribute to departmental and internal organizational projects.
What you bring
- 5+ years of professional experience in internal/external audit, with a background in finance related function, insurance business, risk management etc. are an advantage. Business know how within other departments, regions and entities of Allianz Group is beneficial.
- University degree in accounting, economics, business administration or equivalent.
- Good communication skills are essential as well as a talent to understand auditee’s perspective and ability to listen.
- Team spirit, self-motivation and a proactive and committed working style, ability to interact in a global work environment with people from different countries and cultures.
- Excellent command of English and German (verbal and written).
- Comfortable with global team culture and ability to work in international environment with willingness to travel.
- Familiarity with AI technologies and GenAI platforms is a strong advantage.
