Job Summary

Support sustainability reporting activities by assisting in data collection, analysis, and documentation to ensure timely and accurate reporting aligned with internal requirements and external frameworks.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Sustainability Reporting: Support the end-to-end reporting process, including data collection, validation, and consolidation across business units.
  • Report Preparation: Assist in preparing Allianz Malaysia’s annual Sustainability Report and ESG disclosures, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timely submission.
  • ESG Metrics Monitoring: Track and monitor key ESG metrics such as carbon emissions, energy consumption, paper usage, diversity & inclusion, and governance indicators.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Liaise with internal stakeholders (e.g., HR, Finance, Operations, Risk, Compliance) to follow up on ESG data submissions and ensure data quality.
  • Data Analysis: Perform data analysis and prepare dashboards, charts, and summaries for management reporting and presentations.
  • Framework Alignment: Support alignment with Bursa Malaysia Sustainability Reporting Framework, BNM Climate Risk Management & Scenario Analysis (CRMS), and Allianz Group reporting requirements.
  • Documentation: Assist in documenting methodologies, assumptions, and audit trails for internal review or external assurance.
  • Research & Benchmarking: Conduct research and benchmarking on industry ESG trends, regulatory developments, and peer practices within the insurance and financial services sector.
  • Sustainability Initiatives: Support ongoing sustainability initiatives (e.g., climate strategy, employee engagement, ESG data system improvements) as needed.

 

Key Requirements

  • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Genuine interest in sustainability, climate risk, and ESG reporting within the financial/insurance sector.
  • Comfortable with conducting presentations and handling writing tasks.
  • Organised, proactive, and willing to take initiative.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
  • Preferred Background: Students from Finance courses are preferred, though candidates from other disciplines are welcome to apply.
  • Familiar with the use of ChatGPT for tasks simplification
