Training Specialist (OSHC)

JOB OVERVIEW
The Training Specialist is responsible for delivering instructor-led training and coaching within Operations, including onboarding and refresher training. The Training Specialist will work with a Learning Coordinator and Instructional Designer to plan, design, and evaluate these training programmes. The Training Specialist may also be involved in instructional design and coordinating learning.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following:
•Deliver instructor-led training courses. Execute training sessions, webinars, workshops etc. in groups or individually, in-person or remotely.
•Work with Learning Coordinator in scheduling, planning, and measuring instructor-led training.
•Manage the implementation of the New Hire Academy system to ensure steady progression and development of new hires.
•Assess training effectiveness to ensure incorporation of taught skills and techniques into employees work behavior.
•Prepare coaching and refresher training plans to bridge gaps in knowledge or skills of departmental staff
•Periodically evaluate ongoing programs to ensure that they reflect any changes.
•Devise technical training programs according to organizational requirements. Direct these learning experiences and monitor their quality results.
•Produce training schedules and classroom agenda.
•Prepare training material (presentations, worksheets etc.) and ensure all material is up-to-date.
•Keep and report data on completed courses, absences, issues etc.
•Observe and evaluate results of training programs.
•Act as consultant for Instructional Designer when creating training content.
•Determine overall effectiveness of programs and suggest improvements.
•Collaborate in the production of classroom handouts, instructional materials, aids and manuals.
•Acclimate new hires to the business and conduct orientation sessions.
•Proactively participate and contribute to the department strategy.
•Keep up to date with IT system changes, regulatory/compliance issues, product changes and the digital assets.
•Use known education principles and stay up-to-date on new training methods and techniques.
•Ad-hoc instructional design and coordination of learning.
•Ad-hoc project work where required.
REQUIREMENTS
To be successful in this position you will need to have the following skills/ experience:
•2+ years’ experience as a training specialist or related role is preferred, working to proven training methodologies and delivering online / classroom learning.
•Knowledge of learning principles and instructional design theory.
•Understanding of both conventional and modern training tools, methods, and techniques.
•Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
•Strong communication (verbal & written) and interpersonal skills.
•Ability to work effectively within a multicultural team environment.
•Ability to prioritise workload and manage time effectively.
•Capability to present intricate information in simple language.
•Excellent organisational and planning skills, with a high attention to detail.
•Ability to work on own initiative.
•Ability to work well under pressure.
•Excellent presentation skills.
•Knowledge and experience with e-learning authoring tools an advantage.
•Amenable to work on client-specific schedule and holidays
•Can work Onsite in Makati
