About the role


We're looking for an exceptional leader to help Consumer navigate an increasingly complex environment shaped by changing customer expectations, emerging technologies, AI adoption, regulatory evolution and accelerating business transformation.

 

We are seeking a strategic, commercially minded leader who can balance challenge with enablement, build future-ready risk capability and help position Risk as a competitive advantage.

 

  • Drive effective management of material risks across the Consumer division.
  • Embed risk management into strategic initiatives, digital transformation and business change.
  • Strengthen operational resilience and preparedness for emerging threats.
  • Provide oversight and challenge on AI, technology, data and operational risks.
  • Foster a strong risk culture that promotes ownership, accountability and informed decision-making.
  • Build a high-performing team capable of responding to future business and customer needs.

 

About you

 

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in Risk Management or a related discipline, supported by extensive and diverse industry experience.
  • Significant senior leadership experience in risk, compliance, governance or transformation roles within a complex and regulated environment.
  • Strong understanding of enterprise risk and compliance management frameworks.
  • Demonstrated experience partnering with executive stakeholders and influencing strategic decisions.
  • Experience leading risk management through periods of significant business or technology change.
  • Sound understanding of customer, conduct, operational and regulatory risk.
  • Strong capability in assessing emerging risks associated with AI, digital transformation and evolving technologies.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, develop and maintain high-performing teams while effectively navigating complex business challenges and delivering strategic outcomes
  • Exceptional stakeholder management, communication and influencing skills, with the ability to provide expert advice, build senior relationships, and drive positive risk behaviours across the organisation.
