About the role

  • Provide specialised management to the business employers and agencies concerning legal and Whole Person Impairment claims and expert advice on legal claims, Whole Person Impairment claims, and strategic claims management.
  • Design and deliver training programs and workshops to enhance the knowledge and skills of team members, promoting a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
  • Manage assigned claims involving litigation and settle within authority. Direct or conduct additional investigation when required and negotiate the settlement of litigated matters.
  • Establish and maintain strong working relationships with panel solicitors, employers, and agencies to ensure effective communication and collaboration on litigated matters.
  • Ensure all regulatory guidelines, contractual requirements, and financial outcomes are met in relation to Whole Person Impairment matters

 

About you

  • Extensive industry experience (more than 5 years) with time managing complex technical and legal claims, ideally within a heavily regulated environment.
  • Ability to interpret and analyse complex information, extract meaningful insights, and evaluate options for decision-making.
  • Ability to make independent and collaborative decisions in both expected and unexpected situations, taking responsibility for the consequences of those decisions.
  • Demonstrated ability to partner and collaborate effectively with senior stakeholders, establishing strong professional relationships and influencing outcomes.
  • Demonstrated technical proficiency within the NSW Workers Compensation scheme.
  • Demonstrated understanding of strategy development and working with multiple stakeholders, aligning departmental strategy with organisational vision, and translating vision to action to achieve desired results.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of communicating with audiences at all levels with clarity, impact, and influence.
  • A passion for leveraging emerging technologies to stay ahead in a rapidly evolving digital landscape.
