About the role
The Manager, Governance and Reporting will be responsible for leading the development of the governance and reporting framework across the Consumer Division, whilst partnering with Risk Management and the Regulatory Compliance personnel within the broader team.
Key Accountabilities:
- Risk Reporting and Analytics: Integrate data and analytics to deliver insightful risk reporting, including risk maturity assessments, to senior management and divisional forums.
- Core Monthly Reporting: Oversee the end-to-end process of monthly reporting, including planning, preparation, stakeholder management, and delivery.
- Risk Governance Coordination: Manage agendas, minutes, stakeholder engagement, and reporting for the Risk Governance Forum and related divisional actions.
- Divisional Risk Reporting: Develop and review mandatory divisional risk reports and Key Risk Indicators (KRIs), providing trend analysis and foresight.
- Governance and Risk Frameworks: Ensure compliance with governance requirements and adherence to risk frameworks across the division.
- Stakeholder Engagement and Risk Culture: Foster relationships across business units to support governance priorities, risk culture assessments, and broader risk initiatives.
About you
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline
- Significant experience in governance and reporting within Insurance or Financial Services in a complex, fast-paced, matrix-driven environment.
- Strong understanding of risk management principles, compliance, governance, controls analysis, and the three lines of defence model.
- Proven ability to analyse data, identify patterns and trends, and deliver insightful reports; Power BI reporting and data analysis expertise.
- Demonstrated capability to lead large projects end-to-end, and coach peers to develop team potential.
- Ability to build strong professional relationships, collaborate effectively, and influence outcomes with internal and external stakeholders.
- Excellent planning, prioritisation, and communication skills, both verbal and written.
