About the role

 

The primary purpose of this role is to lead and promote a healthy, safe work environment for all employees, contractors and visitors by driving comprehensive psychosocial and wellbeing initiatives across Allianz Australia.

 

  • Design and implement psychosocial risk strategy and associated program of work
  • Lead initiatives to reduce psychosocial risks and promote mental health through policies, practices, and preventative programs.
  • Create and implement a comprehensive Wellbeing Strategy aligned with psychosocial risk management and best practices
  • Investigate psychosocial risk-related WHS issues and provide actionable recommendations to address line-management concerns across the organisation.
  • Foster a culture of knowledge and skills-sharing, simplification and continuous improvement within the WHS team while identifying and addressing emerging workplace psychosocial risk-related safety and wellbeing trends.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders, including regulators, to align on industry trends, regulatory requirements, and audit programs, while ensuring timely reporting and external engagement on critical psychosocial risk controls.

 

About you

 

  • Hold tertiary qualifications in WHS, Organisational Psychology, Psychology, or a related Allied Health discipline, with relevant industry accreditations and familiarity with ISO 45003:2021.
  • Proven experience in managing psychosocial hazards, implementing standardised risk assessments, and fostering mentally healthy work environments in large, complex organisations.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop, evaluate, and improve WHS systems and improve psychosocial risk management capability, while driving continuous improvement in key WHS programs and outcomes.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of health and safety legislation, workers compensation, and return-to-work processes, coupled with strong data analysis skills to identify root causes and inform targeted interventions.
  • Experience partnering with external service providers, such as EAP providers, and engaging stakeholders to deliver effective WHS and psychosocial risk management initiatives.
  • A passion for leveraging emerging technologies to stay ahead in a rapidly evolving digital landscape.
