Position Overview:

The Head of Middle Office Accounting Operations will oversee and manage the accounting operations for the designated geographical area. This role involves leading and developing the team, ensuring operational excellence in accounting calculations, closing reviews, and regulatory reporting. You will report directly to the Head of the Middle Office Accounting Division of the Finance Factory.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and coordinate accounting calculations related to Bad Debts, Provisions, accruals, and Fixed Assets.
  • Supervise the closing processes, including sanity checks on various accounts, ensuring quality assurance and timely ECCS uploads.
  • Manage statutory, regulatory, and specific reporting requirements.
  • Administer accounting systems, including access rights and GRP setup and configuration.
  • Coordinate complex accounting calculations, closing, and reporting processes with peers and other functions.
  • Lead ad hoc accounting transformation activities, including IT system rollout and process harmonization.
  • Develop and mentor staff within the department to foster a high-performance culture.

 

Key Skills and Qualifications:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to liaise across functions and cultures.
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills with attention to detail and multitasking capabilities.
  • Solutions-oriented approach with the ability to prioritize and influence others.
  • Finance acumen with knowledge of Accounting & Tax, SAP, and Solvency II Regulation.
  • Proven track record in leadership and management within a finance or accounting environment.
