Senior Manager, Auto Warranty Claims

Manage the operations of the Auto Warranty Claims department to meet operational, financial, and service requirements, while driving change management and improving turnaround times (TAT). Oversee the intake and processing of insurance claims for used car/extended warranties. The Senior Manager typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provide input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility, including budget development.
Responsibilities:
- Claims Adjudication: Manage and oversee the adjudication of claims for all used car/extended warranties, ensuring compliance with company policies and industry standards.
- Cost Optimization: Develop and implement strategies to optimize costs associated with claims and warranty processes.
- Turnaround Time (TAT) Improvement: Monitor and enhance turnaround times for claims and payments to ensure prompt resolution.
- Team Engagement and Development: Foster team engagement and facilitate personal skill development through Learning and Development (L&D) initiatives.
- Operational Query Resolution: Address operational queries and provide solutions to enhance process efficiency.
- Productivity Enhancement: Identify and act on opportunities to improve productivity within existing processes.
- Escalation Management: Address and resolve escalations from operations to ensure smooth workflow.
- Team Environment: Create and maintain a high-quality work environment so team members are motivated to perform at their highest level.
- Procedures and Processes: Establish work procedures and processes that support the company and departmental standards, procedures, and strategic directives.
- Employee Management: Manage employees of the department, responsible for performance management, retention, and hiring within the department.
Key requirements/What you bring:
- Team Handling Experience: Proven experience in managing and leading teams effectively.
- Strong Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- MS Office Proficiency: Skilled in using Excel and PowerPoint.
- Educational Background: Engineer’s degree in Automotive or any related field.
- Experience: Experience in motor insurance or auto warranty claims at a management level is mandatory.
