Job Purpose: To manage Claims department in all its aspects including leading, planning, analyzing reporting, staffing, training and supervising. To ensure the most efficient use and allocation of resources through constant review and improvement and finally to provide appropriate service levels which support customer satisfaction objectives.

 

Strategy

  • Own the execution and consistent application of the established local Claims strategy, ensuring alignment with regional priorities and Allianz Group governance frameworks
  • Ensure strong knowledge, interpretation, and consistent application of policy wording and Allianz Group Claims rules across all claims activities
  • Contribute to customer loyalty and retention by delivering an outstanding level of service and consistent, high‑quality claims outcomes
  • Actively support and implement business objectives and business plans, translating strategic direction into effective operational execution
  • Participate in the local Claims & Collections committee, providing direction on priorities, risks, performance, and decision‑making
  • Ensure appropriate claims governance, including authority levels, escalation protocols, and sound judgment on complex, high‑risk, or precedent‑setting claims

Budget

  • Prepare, manage, and monitor the local Claims annual budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources and alignment with business and service objectives

Team Management

  • Manage, develop, and motivate the local Claims team, fostering a culture of accountability, engagement, and continuous improvement
  • Manage team performance in alignment with defined objectives, KPIs, and service standards
  • Ensure appropriate training, coaching, and development processes are in place to strengthen technical expertise, policy knowledge, and decision quality
  • Identify, develop, and retain high‑potential talent and support succession planning within the Claims organization

Operational Leadership & Governance

  • Lead decision‑making on the high‑impact claims, applying sound judgment and escalation where required
  • Serve as the local subject matter expert on policy interpretation, managing gray‑area claims and exceptions in line with Allianz Group guidance
  • Act as a local escalation point for claims, including internal, client, and broker matters
  • Ensure compliance with Allianz Group Claims policies, authority frameworks, and audit requirements; act as local liaison with Group Claims, Legal, and Governance teams
  • Own Claims data, and reporting, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and integrity
  • Establish and oversee quality assurance and review processes to ensure consistent, compliant, and high‑quality claims decisions
  • Lead or contribute to Claims initiatives, including system enhancements, automation, process harmonization, and transformation efforts
  • Ensure strong cross‑functional collaboration (Collections, Risk, PA, MMCD, Finance, Legal)
  • Act as local Claims process owner, using performance data, trends, audits, and feedback to drive continuous improvement and risk mitigation

 

Key Requirements

  • Strong claims assessment expertise, with in‑depth knowledge of local legal and insolvency practices and working knowledge of international claims and debt collection practices
  • Detailed knowledge of Allianz Trade (EH) products, policy wording, systems, and claims operating practices
  • Proven ability to interpret and apply policy wording to complex and high‑impact claims
  • Bachelor’s degree in Administration, Commerce, or a related field
  • Prior people management experience (claims or related function)
  • Strong understanding of Claims and Collections processes, systems, and end‑to‑end workflows
  • Knowledge of quality standards, Claims & Collections operational guidelines, and governance requirements
  • Ability to identify mandatory documentation requirements by claim and collection type
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with internal and external stakeholders
  • Results‑oriented, customer‑focused mindset with strong collaboration skills
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and within cross‑functional teams
  • Ability to align Claims activities with Collections and broader business objectives
  • Looking for candidates that possess a basic awareness of Artificial Intelligence technologies and are enthusiastic about learning and integrating AI into everyday business processes.

Total compensation range:

$145,000 - $160,000

 

Placement within the range provided above is based on the individual’s relevant experience, skills for the role, and location. Salary ranges are only one component of our total compensation package.
