Are you a driven business development professional with a passion for building high-value partnerships and unlocking growth across international markets? As Business Development Manager – Partnerships (APAC) at Allianz Partners in Singapore, you will drive profitable growth and expansion of large and global partners within our Travel segment — identifying the optimal business model for long-term sustainability across multiple countries. You will combine strategic thinking with hands-on execution, building a strong pipeline of new opportunities while collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to deliver results that matter. This is a full-time, permanent role for a commercially sharp, relationship-driven professional ready to make a visible impact on a global scale.
What You'll Do
- Implement strategies to achieve business growth targets within the Travel segment, including identifying target markets and planning sales approaches to build prospects and generate new business
- Analyse market research to identify new opportunities, industry trends, and potential areas for expansion across the APAC region
- Establish and maintain relationships with key stakeholders — including clients, partners, and industry contacts — to foster sustainable business opportunities
- Identify and pursue potential clients or partners through multiple channels, building a strong and qualified pipeline
- Prepare and present compelling business proposals and pitches to secure new partnerships and business deals
- Lead negotiations to finalise contracts and agreements that align with company objectives while ensuring mutual benefit
- Partner with leaders and functional colleagues to determine the right business model for long-term sustainability, supporting new accounts through design, implementation, execution, and optimisation
- Identify potential risks in international markets and develop strategies to mitigate them, staying informed on economic and regulatory developments
- Monitor competitor activity, industry trends, and market dynamics to identify threats and opportunities
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams — including Sales, Marketing, Product, and Operations — to ensure a cohesive approach to business growth
What You'll Bring
- Bachelor's degree in Business or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- 8–10 years of business development experience, ideally within travel insurance, assistance, financial services, or a related B2B environment
- Experience in the travel, tourism, or airline industry is highly advantageous — candidates with established networks in these sectors are strongly encouraged to apply
- Proven track record of driving new business growth and managing large or global partner relationships across multiple markets
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for presenting ideas, negotiating deals, and building relationships with clients and partners
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to establish and maintain positive relationships across diverse cultures and stakeholder levels
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret market trends, financial data, and business metrics to make informed decisions
- Strategic thinker with the capacity to develop and implement effective business strategies aligned with company goals
- Proficiency with CRM systems to manage pipeline, track interactions, and generate insights to support sales strategies
- Strong negotiation skills with a track record of securing beneficial deals and partnerships
- Excellent project management skills — able to manage multiple priorities simultaneously in a fast-paced, matrixed environment
- Comfortable working with AI-powered tools, data analytics platforms, and digital sales enablement technologies to drive smarter business decisions
- Fluent in English; proficiency in an additional Asian language is an advantage given the regional scope of the role
