What you do
As the Data Privacy and Compliance Manager for International Health (Singapore and Hong Kong), you will work closely with the International Health business to implement and monitor data protection and privacy policies, and ensure compliance with laws and regulations in both territories.
- Act as subject matter expert in privacy legislation in Singapore (Personal Data Protection Act)
and Hong Kong (Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance) and other regulations in both territories,
providing advice to local and global business teams - With input from the Global Data Privacy Officer and Head of Compliance for International
Health, oversee compliance of International Health activities with all relevant laws in
Singapore and Hong Kong, Allianz Group Data Privacy and Compliance Policies, Standards
and Functional Rules - In conjunction with the Regional Legal Counsel for International Health, assess changes to
local regulation/legislation and work with various International Health functions to effect
necessary changes to ensure continued compliance - Oversee and ensure adequacy of data incidents investigation and remediation action plans,
documenting assessments and outcomes then reporting these to all relevant internal and
external stakeholders - Work with various business functions to enhance compliance of processes, by establishing
understanding of operations, identifying possible gaps and supporting the business to
implement necessary controls - As directed, perform privacy impact assessments and provide advice to all relevant internal
stakeholders on personal data protection at various stages of the personal data life cycle. - Conduct training and monitor training effectiveness for locally nominated Data Privacy
Champions, and ensure training on Compliance programs is provided to relevant local
employees when needed - Support the Regional Legal Counsel for International Health in reviews of client agreements
and third party data processing agreements - Support distribution teams with due diligence activities initiated by clients
- Ensure appropriate regular and one-off monitoring activities are conducted, as required
What you bring
- 10+ years’ demonstrated experience in practical application of the principles and practice of
Data Protection Laws and Insurance Regulations within Singapore and Hong Kong - Fluent written and spoken English language skills
- Ability to work independently is essential, with meticulous attention to detail and accuracy
Internal - Proactive, resourceful team player who takes accountability and is able to work under
pressure - Professional Data Privacy qualification (e.g. Certified Information Privacy Manager (CIPM)) is
desirable
