We are seeking a Business Manager to join our Global Distribution Strategy & Projects team, a role at the intersection of strategy development and implementation, business development, and senior leadership.

 

The Global Distribution Strategy & Projects team works closely with global and regional distribution leaders and sales teams worldwide to develop, enhance, and execute our global distribution strategy, while further professionalizing the firm's approach to sales and client servicing. In addition, the team collaborates closely with the CEO Office and Strategic Development team to help shape the firm’s global strategic agenda and support M&A projects.

 

The team's responsibilities span both medium- and long-term strategic projects as well as day-to-day business management activities. These include driving the implementation of strategic initiatives and supporting the global management of the business, working in close partnership with functions and sales teams across the Americas, EMEA, and Asia-Pacific regions.

 

What you will do

 

  • Contribute to the design and implementation of global and regional distribution strategies, as well as our approach to covering and servicing key client segments.
  • Support strategic M&A, partnership, and other inorganic growth initiatives, working closely with the CEO Office and senior Distribution leadership.
  • Independently lead cross-regional projects with global impact, collaborating with colleagues across Investments, Product, and Distribution functions.
  • Coordinate the planning and execution of growth plans and go-to-market strategies for high-priority products across regions, spanning both Public and Private Markets.
  • Conduct detailed analyses and develop recommendations for senior Distribution leadership.
  • Prepare senior management presentations and decision proposals for AllianzGI governance bodies (e.g., Executive Committee, Global Distribution Committee).
  • Drive the development of an analytical and data-driven approach to sales management, including dashboards, KPIs, and performance tracking.
  • Take ownership of projects and initiatives that contribute to the growth and success of a global distribution business in a dynamic and evolving market environment.

 

What you bring

 

  • University degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of relevant professional experience, preferably in consulting, asset management, banking, private equity, or a related field.
  • Strong analytical and structured problem-solving skills, with the ability to gather, analyze, and interpret data from a variety of sources.
  • Ability to independently manage projects and deliverables end-to-end, maintaining a high standard of quality and attention to detail.
  • Clear and concise communication skills, including the ability to present ideas and recommendations to senior management.
  • Ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders across cultures, functions, and organizational levels.
  • Proficiency in English is required; additional language skills are beneficial, particularly German.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly PowerPoint and Excel; experience with data analytics tools is an advantage.
  • Strong interest in financial markets and financial data.
