Full Stack Software Engineer (f/m/d)

Within the Investment Technology team, you will contribute to the successful delivery of Investment Research- and AI-solutions, further enhancing our data-driven investment processes for our global Portfolio Management.

This position will be based in Frankfurt or Munich.

What you will do

• Build, maintain, and enhance backend components and APIs for the investment decision support systems
• Adhere to the standards of a compliant software development lifecycle and take ownership for delivery results
• Contribute to technical design setup to ensure compliance with performance, security, and regulatory requirements
• Develop and manage data pipelines, ETL processes, and compute workflows
• Contribute and steer together with the Multi-Asset IT solutions team the refactoring and architecture rework of existing code to improve performance and stability
• Design, build, monitor and enhance AI-backed solutions that simplify workflows along the investment process value chain
• Engage regularly with investment teams to understand and capture business and data requirements as well as gathering feedback, resolve issues, and align backend solutions with evolving business needs
• Support Business-As-Usual (BAU) operations including platform monitoring, issue resolution, and regular health checks
• Stay updated on innovative methods, new technologies and tools in the market, that can improve the efficiency, security, maintenance, and scalability of our platform
• Gain and develop an understanding of the Asset Management business

What you bring

• Ideally a minimum of 5 years working experience in the design and development of Web-applications, RESTful APIs
• University degree in Computer Science/ Mathematics/ Physics/ Engineering or equivalent
• Professional experience in designing, developing, testing, releasing, and monitoring solutions using one of Python, C/C++/C#, Java, Go or Rust
• Excellent foundation in the fundamentals of computer science: Data Structures and Algorithms
• Proven work experience in the design and development of Relational Databases
• Proficient with SDLC tools and DevOps (Git and GitHub/GitLab, Jira, Azure DevOps)
• Hands-on experience with Databricks, Data Lake, Docker, Kubernetes, and Microsoft Azure/AWS/Google Cloud Platform
• Familiarity with large-scale ETL workflows and Spark, JavaScript and/or TypeScript and is a plus
• First experiences with AI solution building are a plus
• Interest in learning fundamental notions of financial markets and investment management including related data requirements
• Comfortable working in a dynamic, global, and culturally diverse environment
• Ability to work independently with a high level of motivation to design and deliver best in class solutions
• Excellent communication skills in both written and spoken English
• Agile mind-set, effective communication skills, enjoys business collaboration
