Intern - Active Engineering Equity (f/m/d)

We are currently hiring an intern to support our Active Engineering Equity (AEE) team. This position will be based in our Frankfurt office.
About the Job
The AEE team acts as a bridge between Fundamental Equity and Systematic portfolio management, enhancing the equity platform through data-driven insights, tools, and quantitative approaches. The team is embedded within Systematic Research but works closely with both systematic and fundamental stakeholders across the equity platform. In this role, the intern will support the development and application of systematic methods that complement existing investment processes. This includes working with data, contributing to analytical projects, and helping to translate investment questions into structured, quantitative frameworks. An interest in coding and a basic affinity for working with data and quantitative concepts is expected, as the role involves hands-on analytical and technical tasks.
What you do
- Support the development of data‑driven tools and analyses that enhance the equity investment process
- Perform data quality and consistency checks
- Contribute to the creation and maintenance of dashboards
- Work with datasets to support quantitative research tasks.
What you bring
- Enrolled in a Master’s program in a quantitative field (e.g. finance, economics, mathematics, data science, or a related discipline)
- Have a basic understanding of data analysis and an interest in financial markets
- Relevant experience with coding (e.g. Python, R, or similar) is desirable, along with a structured and analytical mindset
- Attention to detail, particularly in handling data, and the ability to work collaboratively across teams
- Ability to use Microsoft Copilot, with a strong commitment to ethical and responsible AI practices.
