You will shape and support the delivery of a comprehensive strategy for the Global Risk function in conjunction with functional team heads by constructively challenging the status quo and understanding sophisticated topics, translating them into simplified views.

This role is vital in ensuring that the Global Risk function not only meets current challenges but also anticipates future risks through innovative strategies and effective communication. By fostering a culture of proactive risk management and continuous improvement, the focus will be on delivering value to the organization while safeguarding its asset and reputation.

The role is based in our Frankfurt or Munich office.

What you will do

• Work closely with stakeholders within the Risk Management function to support the coordination and supervision of Risk Management initiatives and projects. This includes project management and documentation, following up on planning and results, and project prioritization
• Support the implementation of risk management policies and regulatory initiatives to enhance the Risk Management framework
• Advance initiatives aimed at harmonizing processes and continuously increasing efficiency within the Global Risk function
• Prepare board/management presentations and risk reports
• Support communication and reporting to external stakeholders (incl. regulators and auditors) and promote an effective collaboration with regional risk teams and other departments (e.g. Investments, Legal & Compliance).

What you bring

• Master’s degree in Risk Management, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field (relevant certifications such as FRM, PRM, or CFA are preferred)
• Fluency in German and English is required (additional languages are highly beneficial)
• Strong organizational and project management skills, with a structured and organized approach
• Proven understanding of the Asset Management value chain, including basic knowledge of regulatory frameworks, knowledge of regulatory compliance and industry standards is a plus
• Critical thinking and an analytical mindset
• Exceptional attention to detail, high-quality output, and excellent problem-solving skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs, particularly MS PowerPoint and MS Excel (knowledge of Power BI is a plus)
• Ability to use Microsoft CoPilot, with a strong commitment to ethical and responsible AI practices
• Profound understanding of risk management frameworks and methodologies
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
• Team-player mindset with the ability to collaborate effectively with various departments in an international, diverse, and highly interdisciplinary environment.
