About the Job  

The position sits within the Global Tax Function for Product Taxation and Tax Operations, which forms part of the Global Fund Administration and Operational Business Support team. This team is responsible for the Operations Value Chain and serves as a Global Centre of Competence for selected overarching topics within AllianzGI Global Operations. The main focus of the role is to act as a Subject Matter Expert for product taxation, ensure tax compliance in our investment countries, and analyse and coordinate the impact of tax changes across the relevant Value Chain.

What you do 

• Act as a Subject Matter Expert on all product tax-related topics concerning AllianzGI fund products, including AIFs, UCITS funds, and alternative investment structures, for AllianzGI stakeholders and clients, as well as relevant service providers
• Analyse upcoming tax law changes and their impact on AllianzGI’s business and products
• Coordinate tax changes across the relevant Value Chain, including service providers
• Manage and further develop the Internal Control System for Taxation, including the design and maintenance of tax controls
• Support process harmonisation measures across relevant tax processes at European and global levels.

What you bring 

• Certified tax advisor
• Academic background or comparable qualifications
• Preferred 5 to 6 years in Business Consulting with profound knowledge of Asset Management and Tax Operations.
• Knowledge related to the Investment Process (front to back) and the related taxation areas
• Experience in managing projects preferred with Taxation backgrounds
• Analytical and problem-solving skills
• Proven Project Management Skills
• Excellent communications skills incl. Relationship and Stakeholder Management skills
• Experience within Provider Oversight Models
• Fluent in German and English is essential.
