We are currently looking for a Working Student to join the Sustainability Research Team! The position will be based in our Frankfurt office.

About the Job

Allianz Global Investors is seeking a Working Student for the Sustainability Research Team, reporting to the Head of Sustainability Research.

The Sustainability Research Team develops in-depth, high-quality and forward-thinking thematic research around the firm’s three key areas of focus in sustainability: Climate Change and Transition, Planetary Boundaries, and Inclusive Capitalism.

This role offers the opportunity to support the development of Sustainability Research at one of the world’s leading asset managers with a strong commitment to Sustainable and Impact Investments. The successful candidate will collaborate with stakeholders across various functions and AllianzGI’s global locations while working within a dynamic, multi-disciplinary team.

What you do

Undertake company ESG analysis
Contribute to sustainability sector research
Support thematic research on sustainable themes
Assist the Investment Platform and other internal stakeholders with ad hoc requests
Support the team across a broad range of responsibilities covering companies, sectors and sustainability themes.

What you bring

Enrolled in an accredited college or university studying towards a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Finance or a related field with a specialization in Sustainable Development
Strong interest in sustainability and sustainable investing
Business or Finance background
Specialization or at least minor studies in Sustainability or ESG
Solid analytical skills with a high level of accuracy and strong attention to detail
Flexible and willing to support different topics and team members when required
Strong motivation and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to articulate ideas and concepts clearly and concisely
Strong team player with a self-reliant and proactive working style
Fluent in written and spoken English with strong writing skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, PowerPoint and Excel (minimum intermediate level)
Eager to explore new tools and resources, including AI
Ability to use Microsoft Copilot, with a strong commitment to ethical and responsible AI practices.
