Join us now as Intern in Hong Kong within the Investment Compliance team. The AP Investment Compliance team is responsible for executing a global compliance program that includes advisory, training, monitoring, and reporting for investment activities across research, portfolio management, trading, and pricing. The team collaborates closely to harmonize policies, address cross-border issues, and manage compliance risks related to traditional assets such as equities, fixed income, derivatives, foreign exchange, and multi-asset investments. Some of the compliance risks covered by the team include best execution, market abuse, fair allocations, cross-trades, and guideline coding and monitoring.
The AP Investment Compliance team forms a key part of the Global Investment Advisory Compliance Team (IAC), the Global Investment Guideline Management (IGM) team and works closely with the other Compliance and Legal teams in AP to ensure compliance with Group policies and standards, Asian regulatory requirements, client needs and industry standards. Jurisdictions covered in Asia include Taiwan, mainland China, Japan, Singapore, Hong Kong and Indonesia.
What you do
- Assist in execution of compliance monitoring of market abuse, fair allocations, and best execution
- Assist in coordination of audits
- Support other compliance projects
- Help identify team needs in terms of data, collaborating with our Data Specialists team
- Facilitate development and review of policies and procedures
What you bring
- Prior university degree or enrolled in university program majoring in Finance, Economics, Financial Law, Compliance, Risk or Audit
- Knowledge of financial regulations
- Prior compliance, risk, audit, portfolio management or trading experience
- Strong verbal and written communication skills; both English and proficiency in Mandarin Chinese is crucial
- Experience with Bloomberg or compliance monitoring tools preferred
- Ability to take initiative, work under pressure, and meet deadlines
- Good team player
- AI skills: CoPilot, ChatGPT, AI and Machine Learning
**Preference will be given to students who are available to work for 12 months starting from June 2026; however, candidates who can commit to a minimum of 6 months will also be considered.
