The ASN (Allianz Sales Network) Contest & Recognition Manager is responsible for ensuring that agency contest, incentive, and recognition initiatives are translated into effective, well-governed, and impactful programs that support business growth, agent engagement, recruitment, productivity, and retention objectives. This position is placed under Agency Office Division.
The role integrates multiple contest and recognition workstreams, manages cross-functional dependencies, and ensures initiatives are executed consistently, accurately, and in alignment with business priorities. It serves as a key coordination point between business stakeholders and operational functions, helping the organization deliver incentive programs that are both strategically relevant and operationally sustainable.
In addition, the role anchors contest and recognition portfolio management across initiatives, ensuring coherence between program objectives, participant experience, governance requirements, and business outcomes.
This role also owns the operating cadence of contest and recognition execution, ensuring that programs remain on track, operational risks are proactively managed, and stakeholders remain aligned throughout the program lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
Contest & Recognition Portfolio Management
- Manage a portfolio of agency contest, incentive, and recognition initiatives that support business growth and engagement objectives.
- Integrate multiple programs into a coherent execution roadmap that clarifies priorities, timelines, dependencies, and stakeholder responsibilities.
- Coordinate program activities across departments to ensure smooth delivery and effective resource utilization.
- Own portfolio-level prioritization and execution planning across contest, recognition, recruitment, and tactical activation initiatives.
Program Governance & Execution
- Lead end-to-end execution of assigned contests and recognition programs from planning through reward fulfillment.
- Ensure qualification tracking, validation, communication, and reward processes are executed accurately and on schedule.
- Establish and maintain governance controls that support fairness, transparency, and audit readiness.
- Drive proactive identification and resolution of operational risks, participant issues, and cross-functional bottlenecks throughout program execution.
Stakeholder Management & Alignment
- Engage and align Manager-level stakeholders across Agency, Operations, Finance, Marketing, Customer Service, Technology, and other support functions.
- Facilitate discussions to resolve implementation challenges, clarify responsibilities, and maintain execution momentum.
- Build productive working relationships with agency and business stakeholders to support successful program outcomes.
- Act as a key coordination anchor across functions, ensuring alignment between business objectives, participant experience, and operational execution.
Data, Insights & Program Effectiveness
- Monitor participation trends, qualification progress, business impact, and program performance using Excel and business intelligence platforms such as Power BI and MicroStrategy (MSTR)
- Maintain dashboards, trackers, qualification reports, governance documentation, and post-program reviews.
- Analyze participation and performance data to identify opportunities for program enhancement and operational improvement.
- Synthesize contest and recognition performance insights into leadership-ready recommendations that improve future program effectiveness and business impact.
Qualifications
Education
Bachelor's degree in Management, Marketing, Insurance, Administration, Information Technology, Accounting/Finance, Statistics, Mathematics, Actuarial Science, or related fields.
Experience
- 3-5+ years of experience in insurance, banking, sales operations, incentive management, business consulting, strategy, PMO, transformation, or related fields.
- Experience managing cross-functional initiatives involving multiple stakeholders.
- Proven ability to coordinate complex programs with competing priorities and deadlines.
- Experience supporting incentive programs, sales campaigns, recognition initiatives, or large-scale business engagement activities is preferred.
- Familiarity with data analysis of agency distribution models, agency compensation structures, agent productivity drivers, or sales force engagement programs within insurance or financial services is highly advantageous.
