As an AI Change Manager (f/m/d) in the Data, Technology & Operations (DTO) function at Allianz Global Investors, you will be a core member of the AI Center of Excellence (AI CoE), accountable for firm-wide AI adoption and change execution.
You will contribute to the success of AllianzGI’s AI program by maximising the impact of the AI CoE and accelerating the adoption and utilisation of existing and new AI solutions, features, and services across the firm. You will help shape and execute the AI CoE’s transformation and engagement agenda, ensuring active sponsorship and alignment with senior management and key control functions.
In close partnership with the CTO, the Head of AI CoE, and AI CoE technical experts, you will translate priorities into transparent communication and targeted enablement—creating clarity on progress, decisions, and available capabilities, with a focus on sustainable change and adoption rather than technical delivery.
This position will be based in Munich or Frankfurt.
What you will do
Strategic Advisory & Executive Thought Leadership
- Advisor and sparring partner to Head of AI CoE and CTO on change initiatives; shape AI positioning, narratives, and executive decision support
- Development of AI change strategy / roadmap and impact on associated operating models
- Coordinate market and peer assessments with relevant stakeholders, and synthesise findings into actionable insights shared via appropriate internal channels and leadership formats
Senior Communication, Stakeholder Engagement & Change Enablement
- Develop senior-ready communications (ExCo/DTO/townhalls), including narratives, decision memos, and Q&A packs
- Lead stakeholder engagement and change enablement to ensure alignment and sustainable adoption
AI Program & Change Management
- Lead the “AI Fundamentals” workstream within AllianzGI’s AI program (platform, tooling, secure environments, standards) in partnership with the AI Tech Lead and AI SMEs
- Partner with the AI Tech Lead to roll out pilot-to-production pathways by driving stakeholder alignment, transparent communication, and enablement around standards to accelerate time-to-value
Adoption & Value Realisation of Central AI Capabilities
- Delivery of AI Adoption and engagement Plan
- Drive awareness and adoption of GenAI Hub services, central in-house applications, and approved third-party AI solutions
- Define and manage adoption/value KPIs; convert insights into scaling actions and reusable playbooks
Business Enablement, Training & Community Building
- Coordinate trainings, onboarding journeys, and introduction events in close alignment with Learning & Development
- Build and sustain business and developer AI communities, and coordinate the creation and upkeep of practical guidance assets (playbooks, FAQs, templates)
External Requests & RFP Support
- Provide high-quality AI/GenAI inputs for RFPs and external stakeholder requests, aligned with internal policies and approved governance
- Standardise response components and ensure evidence-based, consistent messaging in collaboration with the RFP team
Financial Oversight
- Support budgeting and forecasting for AI CoE initiatives (vendor spend, platform costs, enablement budget)
What you bring
- University degree in Business Administration, Economics, or a related field
- Experience in stakeholders mapping and communications, driving impact assessments and behavioural change, building trust and managing resistance/fear
- Experience in designing efficient Business/Operating models impacted by Technology, workflow automation
- Experience in facilitating and preparing multi-day workshops with senior stakeholders
- Minimum 5+ years of professional experience in the financial industry and/or consulting
- Strong understanding of the asset management value chain, with exposure to operations, technology, and data topics
- Familiarity with common AI tools / AI and Machine Learning and a solid conceptual understanding of Generative and Agentic AI (capabilities and limitations), with the ability to translate this into business value, adoption concepts, and change measures
- Actively using AI tools as a change manager
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills across all seniority levels; confident in preparing leadership-ready materials and story telling
- Proven track record leading cross-functional change initiatives and/or projects in a regulated environment
- Strong organisational and analytical skills with a structured, outcome-oriented working style
- Ability to constructively challenge the status quo with sound judgement and pragmatism
- High level of diplomacy, flexibility, and proactivity in complex stakeholder environments
- High proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel and PowerPoint)
- Fluent in English both written and spoken; German is a plus
- Formal training in change management methodologies is a plus
