Job purpose/Role 

 

Private Markets are a strategically important and fast-growing area of our business, with increasing data complexity and volume. The Reporting, Analytics & Investment Support team provides reliable, client-focused reporting solutions that meet evolving investor and regulatory requirements. We are currently building a modern reporting architecture to centralize all Private Markets data, enabling automated, self-service reporting and enhanced analytics. As a Data Engineer, you will play a key role in developing scalable solutions that support business growth, investment complexity, and future technology standards.

 

 

What you will do 

 

In this role, you will help shape the future of Private Markets reporting through smart engineering, strong collaboration, and innovative thinking. In particular, you will carry out the following duties:

 

  • Design and develop new reporting solutions, including paginated investor reports (e.g. quarterly investment reports, ESG reports, look-through reports, etc.) and interactive dashboards in Power BI for internal and external B2B users
  • Collaborate with Investment Support and other business teams to gather requirements and deliver solutions for newly onboarded strategies and mandates
  • Build and enhance components of our modern reporting architecture, including the reporting tool and eFront front-office customisation
  • Drive technical solution design based on business requirements and architectural standards
  • Keep up to date with the latest developments and new functionalities in preferred private markets SaaS solutions, and maintain relationships with strategic providers
  • Contribute to strategic projects and change initiatives, working closely with Investment, IT, Operations, and external partners
  • Drive forward innovation and system harmonisation, ensuring solutions meet regulatory, security and performance requirements and are aligned with future-state architecture

 

What you bring

 

We are looking for a client-centric, communicative, and technically skilled professional who is passionate about data and private markets. You are eager to learn, enjoy solving complex problems and be comfortable working in international, cross-functional teams by meeting the following requirements:

 

  • Advanced reporting and data visualisation skills, with proven experience in developing scalable solutions using Power BI (including DAX and data modelling), as well as Microsoft SQL Server, SSRS and paginated reporting, to support investor, regulatory and client-specific requirements
  • Hands-on experience with modern, cloud-based data architecture, particularly in the Azure environment (including Azure SQL and PySpark, Data Lake, Databricks and Unity Catalog), and an understanding of how to integrate these platforms into end-to-end reporting workflows
  • Competence in translating business and regulatory requirements into technical specifications and robust reporting products by utilizing Jira platform
  • Collaborative mindset with the ability to work across teams, gather requirements and communicate technical concepts effectively to non-technical stakeholders
  • High attention to detail, strong problem-solving skills and an interest in driving automation and innovation in reporting workflows
  • Experience with Private Markets platforms (e.g. BlackRock eFront) and an understanding of investment data structures would be an advantage
  • Knowledge of private markets-specific reporting needs, including client reporting, ESG disclosures and regulatory outputs, is beneficial
  • Degree in Business Informatics, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics or a related quantitative field
