We are currently looking for an intern to join the Direct Lending platform Team which will give you the opportunity to work on Private Credit investing in Europe. The position will be based in our Munich office as a 3-6-month internship. The start date will be October 2026.  

 

About the Job 

 

Based in Paris, London, Munich, Rotterdam and Singapore, the Direct Lending platform is composed of 34 investment professionals, including 3 investment professionals in Munich. With c. €10bn AUM, we invest in European low to mid-cap direct lending transactions (including Impact deals), in Emerging Markets and in Asia.    

 

The team’s strategy focuses on LBOs with top-tier private equity, targeting a wide range of investments’ profiles from senior to unitranche transactions. In addition to contributing to the structuring, credit analysis, terms and conditions negotiation, execution and asset monitoring of direct lending transactions in European markets, the position will include various related tasks linked to the growth of the business.  

 

What you do

 

  • Conduct in-depth analysis of target companies, sectors, business models and markets
  • Analyze due diligence reports
  • Conduct Financial modelling and sensitivity analyses
  • Prepare investment committee materials and company profiles
  • Prepare marketing materials.

 

What you bring

 

  • Enrolled Student in a Master’s or advanced Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics or a related Quantitative field
  • Excellent academic achievements (performance records)
  • Excellent analytical skills with high level of attention to detail
  • Proven interest in financial markets, private equity business and M&A
  • Ability to work diligently under time pressure
  • Strong team ethics
  • Good knowledge of MS Office, in particular Excel
  • Ability to independently conduct research
  • Proficiency in English both written and spoken; German is advantageous
  • Previous internship(s) in investment banking (Leveraged Finance, M&A, debt advisory), Private Credit/Direct Lending, Privat Equity or Transaction Services
  • Ability to use Microsoft Copilot, with a strong commitment to ethical and responsible AI practices.
