About the Job 

 

The Private Markets Solutions Team advises and manages mandates and funds across a range of private market asset classes and strategies. Working closely with specialist investment teams, supporting functions, and distribution teams, the group focuses on delivering strong performance, high-quality client advice, and business growth. As part of risklab, the solutions division of Allianz Global Investors’ global investment platform, the team combines expertise with a collaborative approach. In this internship, you will support the team in all aspects of their work and gain valuable, hands-on experience in a dynamic environment.

 

What you do

 

  • Support Portfolio Managers with quantitative and qualitative analysis and assessment of investments and managers
  • Perform analyses, write summaries, and prepare documentation for investment due diligence projects
  • Contribute to portfolio and performance monitoring by gathering and aggregating data, coordinating with colleagues across asset classes, analyzing information, and presenting summaries
  • Learn about private equity/debt, infrastructure, real estate, and clients’ investment needs in private markets
  • Be deeply involved in a major portfolio and performance monitoring project: gathering and aggregating data, coordinating with multiple colleagues across asset classes, analyzing portfolio and performance information, summarizing it and presenting it in a suitable format.

 

What you bring

 

  • You are currently working towards your Bachelor's or Master's degree in economics, finance or business
  • You have strong analytical skills and interest or ideally first experience in the asset management industry, especially related to private markets
  • You have advanced PowerPoint and Excel skills
  • You have a strong attention to detail
  • You have the ability to efficiently handle multiple projects to tight deadlines and to a high quality
  • You are an open-minded, flexible, dedicated and self-reliant team player
  • You have fluent verbal and written skills in English and German
  • Ability to use Microsoft Copilot, with a strong commitment to ethical and responsible AI practices.
