Intern - Regional Procurement Coordination & Category Management (m/f/d)
München, DE, 80802
Who will you be joining?
You will join the newly established Regional Procurement Coordination Team at Allianz SE, which steers all Allianz Operating Entities (OEs) worldwide in applying global procurement standards, optimizing sourcing activities, and driving category management excellence. Our team works at the intersection of global category strategy, local OE needs, and Allianz’s procurement governance framework. In this role, you will gain deep insights into global category management, insurance sector procurement markets, and the Allianz Group Standard for Procurement (AGSP).
How can you make an impact?
• Support the Head of Regional Procurement Coordination in analysing procurement markets across Allianz OEs globally, identifying local, regional, and global sourcing trends.
• Conduct analytical research on suppliers, categories, and spend patterns to support global category management and strategic decisions.
• Support the evaluation and alignment of local procurement practices with the Allianz Group Standard for Procurement (AGSP), including category concepts and sourcing processes.
• Contribute to the preparation of procurement reporting, presentations, and materials for senior stakeholders.
• Assist in regional project coordination, best-practice sharing, and preparation for strategic meetings (e.g., CPO round tables, regional alignment forums).
What are you made of?
• Ongoing university studies (Bachelor/Master) in Business Administration, Economics, Supply Chain Management, International Management, or a related field.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to structure, interpret, and present data clearly (Excel/PowerPoint proficiency required).
• Very good command of English; additional languages such as German, Spanish, Portuguese, or others are a strong advantage given the global scope.
• First exposure to procurement, sourcing, or supply chain topics (university project, internship, working student role) is beneficial, ideally in an international or corporate environment.
• High motivation to learn about global category management and procurement governance in a multinational insurance group.
• You are enrolled at a university during the entire contract period.
• Openness to innovative solutions and modern technologies, including analytics tools and AI-based applications.
