Intern in AI Strategy at Allianz SE (m/f/d)

Who will you be joining? 

Allianz SE is the strategic headquarters of one of the world's leading insurance and asset management groups, operating in over 70 countries. You will be joining the Group AI Strategy team, a central unit shaping how artificial intelligence is shaped, deployed, and scaled across the entire Allianz Group. Working at the intersection of strategy, technology, and execution, our team partners directly with senior leadership to translate AI ambitions into concrete Group-wide impact.

How can you make an impact? 

• Assist in preparing and maintaining overarching frameworks and documentation related to Group-wide AI deployment initiatives.
• Support the development of high-quality strategic presentations and decision papers for senior stakeholders, translating complex AI topics into clear, compelling narratives.
• Take ownership of analytical and strategic projects, building direct exposure to how AI strategy is shaped at the headquarters of a global financial services group.
• Conduct structured benchmarking of external companies, startups, and technology providers relevant to Allianz's AI strategy, deriving actionable insights and competitive intelligence.
• Maintain and review the groups use case portfolio, engaging in dialogue with use case owners from both technology and business.

What are you made of?

• Currently pursuing advanced studies in Business Administration, Business Informatics, Management, STEM, or a related field — with strong academic performance.
• First practical experience in consulting, strategy, project management, or a structured analytical environment (internships, case competitions, or research projects).
• Solid understanding of AI technologies, trends, and their business applications; genuine curiosity about the evolving AI landscape.
• Excellent skills in content structuring, storytelling, and visualization — particularly in PowerPoint; you know how to make complex ideas look sharp and land with senior audiences.
• Strong written and spoken English; German is a plus.
• Self-directed, detail-oriented, and reliable — comfortable managing multiple workstreams and delivering under time pressure.
• Openness to creative and innovative solutions, as well as a passion for working with forward-thinking technologies.
