What you do:

You will assist the Allianz Life Ventures team in their strategic goals and corporate innovation support as well as in their investment activity. You will leverage the AZL Ventures network to share entrepreneurial stories, discovering corporate innovation campaign best practices to further the Allianz Life innovation practice. You will be responsible for assisting in strategic ventures project management endeavors, assisting in investment research and due diligence processes, supporting in ventures related business development activities, internal/external ventures communications plans and execution, event planning and execution, and other Ventures related activities. You will report to the AIM VP – Ventures.

 

  • Lead ventures strategic project management efforts and support ventures business development activities: Responsible for assisting the project management efforts of Ventures sponsored Pilots/POCs; ownership of business development reporting to AZL Ventures steering committee; assist in working with Ventures portfolio companies, and other potential Ventures targets on evaluation and execution of strategic partnerships.
  • Responsible for communication planning and execution regarding Ventures initiatives: Partner with AZL communication teams on both external and internal communication to drive awareness and advocacy of the AZL Ventures program. Also, assist Ventures VP with communication and reporting to AZLV steering committee.
  • Leading coordination of ventures internal and external programing/events: Assist in planning and execution of ventures events throughout the year including; CXO Summit Day, AZL Ventures advisory board meetings, demo days, Ventures conferences, etc.
  • Supporting market research, portfolio analysis, and transaction due diligence: Assist the Allianz Life Ventures team in research, diligence, and other investment activities including market mapping, portfolio monitoring, and competitive analysis.
  • Utilization of artificial intelligence tools and resources (e.g. generative AI).

 

What you bring:

  • 1+ years of experience required:  Relevant insurance or financial services experience; strong analytical skills and excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Four year degree required or equivalent work experience.
  • You must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without requiring immigration sponsorship now or in the future. This includes holders of H-1B, H4, L-1, L-2, TN, OPT, CPT, and other nonimmigrant visas.

 

Job posting range:  

AIM Analyst – Ventures:  $55,000 - $89,000

AIM  Senior Analyst – Ventures:  $63,000 - $110,000

 

Note the job posting range is exclusive of company benefits or other compensation. This role is also eligible for an annual incentive program. If you are hired, your final base salary will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, experience, skills, competencies, and/or education. In addition to those factors, we will also consider internal equity of our current employees. Please keep in mind that the range provided is the full base salary range for the role. Hiring at or near the maximum of the range would not be typical to allow for future and continued salary growth.
