What you do:
The Executive Protection Principal will support the strategy and overseeing the safety and security of executives, VIPs, and other high-profile individuals. We are looking for a proactive approach to risk management, exceptional situational awareness, and the ability to respond swiftly and effectively to potential threats.
You will have experience in protective service operations to support the senior executives, their families, and visiting VIPs. Contribute to protective programs to include personal protection, corporate and residential environments, event security, ground and air transportation, cyber threats and special projects. Contribute to a standard of measurement in quality and effectiveness as it relates to protective services.

- Support the direction and execution the emergency response teams, the rules, planning testing, training and reporting of the emergency response program.
- Represent the Corporate Service's team in crisis management, planning, participating in scenarios, testing and education.
- Operate in accordance with the principles and rules for protective security management which includes security monitoring, event security, executive protection, travel monitoring, personnel security and physical security.
- Partners with the Corporate Security and Executive Protection Programs Manager and follows their direction on executive protection matters.

- Support safety and security efforts by remaining alert at all times, contributing to the comfort and protection of individuals served.

- Support the provision of a safe and protective environment for senior executives and other VIPs.
- Provide defensive driving support for executives, as directed.
- Conduct advance special event surveys in preparation for executive travel.
- Support executive and dignitary security at special events.
- Provide executive protection and logistics support under established direction and protocols.
- Serve as a coordination point for sharing accurate information about security-related incidents occurring in the field.
- Monitor and analyze potential threats and vulnerabilities.
- Conduct advance site surveys and secure locations prior to client arrival.
- Maintain confidentiality and discretion at all times.
- Coordinate contingency planning and emergency medical response for security incidents while following established guidance.

- Under the direction of the Corporate Services Senior Director, support the implementation of security and access-control procedures at senior executive residences and temporary meeting locations to ensure safety.

- Provide recommendations to enhance security measures in and around executive environments.
- In consultation with the Corporate Security and Executive Protection Programs Manager, assist senior executives with low to mid-level concerns such as scheduling and property-related coordination to support convenience and bolster privacy.

- Support the identification and assessment of potential security threats in locations of interest, providing situational and timely information to inform decisions on security posture.
- Foster effective partnerships with internal functions, operating entities, external agencies (local, federal and international law enforcement), and corporate partners to strengthen security practices.

- Demonstrate strong customer-service acumen in all interactions.
- Maintain a continual learning mindset to stay current on external security protocols, risk-mitigation trends, and best practices.
- Work independently and adapt to multiple work environments while maintaining a high level of discretion, attentiveness, and professionalism.
- Coordinate with 3rd party services for executive protection, create scope of work to include itinerary and resources.
- Provide close protection to executives and VIPs during travel, events, and daily activities.
- Coordinate with local law enforcement and other security personnel to ensure seamless protection.

- Technical Proficiency in Protective Intelligence Software: Ability to navigate protective intelligence platforms, understanding their functionalities, features, and integration capabilities with existing security systems to effectively monitor, analyze, and respond to potential threats. With a lens to ensuring knowledge of new or emerging technical intelligence developments.
- Perform Third-party risk assessments as it relates to physical security by evaluating vendors and partners that our organization engages with. Identify risks, assessment of risks, review mitigation and future monitoring.
What you bring:
- 10+ years of experience in executive protection, law enforcement, or military, including 2+ years in protective intelligence, physical security, emergency response, security protocol implementation, and crisis management.
- Currently hold an ASIS professional certification (CPP or APP) or demonstrates the ability and commitment to obtain and maintain certification within a defined timeframe as part of the position's professional standards.
- HR218 (Federal conceal and carry of a firearm for former law enforcement), MN Conceal and Carry or ability to obtain by hire date.
- Ability to travel frequently within the United States and internationally, including occasional short-notice or extended-duration assignments. (40% travel)
- Strong knowledge of security protocols and risk management.
- Excellent physical fitness and the ability to respond to emergencies.
- Emergency and first-aid training, including current certifications in CPR, AED, and Basic First Aid.
- Exceptional surveillance techniques, situational awareness, and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends.
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
- You must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without requiring immigration sponsorship now or in the future. This includes holders of H-1B, H4, L-1, L-2, TN, OPT, CPT, and other nonimmigrant visas.
Physical Requirements:

- Frequent sitting, standing and/or walking for long periods of time and may involve climbing stairs and walking up inclines and on uneven terrain.
- Ability to stand for several hours in support of protective coverage.
- Ability to work extended or irregular hours, respond after hours when needed, and adapt to changing operational priorities.
- Ability to adjust focus between close and distance vision.

Job posting range: $92,000 to $126,500
Note the job posting range is exclusive of company benefits or other compensation. This role is also eligible for an annual incentive program. If you are hired, your final base salary will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, experience, skills, competencies, and/or education. In addition to those factors, we will also consider internal equity of our current employees. Please keep in mind that the range provided is the full base salary range for the role. Hiring at or near the maximum of the range would not be typical to allow for future and continued salary growth.
