What you do:

Financial Analysis and Support: 

  • Provide insightful financial analysis for products, investments, and transactions. 
  • Monitor financial and accounting trends impacting the industry. 
  • Drive initiatives within the team, department, and occasionally division under general guidance. 
  • Participate in the annual financial planning process, developing presentations for executive management. 
  • Analyze and explain IFRS and Statutory financial reports. 
  • Occasionally prepare and communicate financial results to senior management. 

 

Technical Research and Interpretation: 

  • Understand complex investment and actuarial topics to enhance business leverage
  • Develop content and communication strategies to strengthen relationships with business partners, the parent company, and rating agencies
  • Support governance and routine check-ins with Allianz Life and parent company Allianz SE
  • Track market trends, industry developments, and competitor activities to identify trends and opportunities
  • Conduct market research and industry analysis aligned with company growth strategies
  • Communicate complex subjects effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences, utilizing strong PowerPoint skills
  • Understand policyholder liabilities, asset portfolios, and key financial drivers
  • Deliver high customer satisfaction in responding to Allianz SE requests
  • Utilization of artificial intelligence tools and resources (e.g. generative AI)

 

Project Leadership: 

  • Lead teams and manage special projects to successful completion, keeping management informed
  • Coordinate project meetings appropriate to size and scope
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams on projects and ad-hoc requests
  • Play a leading role in team projects, gathering information and responding to requests
  • Contribute to team processes and serve as a technical lead for deliverables

 

Leadership and Communication: 

  • Understand and support the mission and vision of the team, division, and company
  • Proactively communicate with internal and external stakeholders
  • Coordinate with stakeholders to ensure clear and effective communication of results
  • Leverage enterprise resources and relationships to achieve business objectives

 

 Utilization of artificial intelligence tools and resources (e.g. generative AI)

 

What you bring: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or related field 
  • 4+ years of relevant accounting work experience 
  • Strong written and verbal communication skillS
  • Strong project management and problem-solving skills 
  • Ability to work independently in resolving inquiries and problems 
  • Ability to quickly understand financial reporting 
  • Familiarity with life insurance and annuity business, company products, structure, and staff, including experience in accounting and actuarial concepts 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) 
  • Knowledge of additional Microsoft products (Visio, SharePoint, SQL) 
  • You must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without requiring immigration sponsorship now or in the future. This includes holders of H-1B, H4, L-1, L-2, TN, OPT, CPT, and other nonimmigrant visas

 

Base Salary Range $69,000-103,500

Actual base salary may vary based upon factors such as relevant experience, qualifications, internal equity of peers, and geographic location. In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for an annual incentive program.
