The FVP National Sales will be a key member of the ALFS leadership team, responsible for leading and managing the entire external sales force of approximately 85 representatives. This role will directly oversee five District Directors, each managing a team of 14–16 external wholesalers. The individual will be charged with driving the achievement of annual sales goals, strengthening advisor and external firm relationships, and developing a high-performing, growth-oriented sales organization that is also aligned with Allianz core values. This role requires a strategic leader with a strong track record of field sales leadership in financial services, the ability to manage a complex and dynamic distribution landscape, and a disciplined approach to budget oversight and team development while upholding a strong culture for ethics and compliance.
What you do:
Lead and manage the national external sales force to achieve and exceed annual sales, revenue, and growth targets, including direct oversight of District Directors.
Develop and coach sales talent, set performance expectations, and cultivate a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
Foster and maintain strong relationships with key distribution partners, advisory firms, and strategic accounts.
Collaborate with senior leadership and cross-functional teams to align sales strategies with broader business objectives and efficiently manage department budget.
Analyze sales trends and data to identify growth opportunities and performance gaps, using insights to inform strategy and execution.
Utilization of artificial intelligence tools and resources (e.g. generative AI).
What you bring:
- 10+ years of experience in external sales leadership within financial services or asset management.
- Demonstrated success leading large field sales teams and delivering strong business results.
- Proven ability to develop and maintain influential relationships with advisors and partner firms.
- Strong leadership, communication, and coaching skills.
- Deep knowledge of financial products, distribution channels, and industry trends.
- Four-year degree required; MBA or related advanced degree preferred.
- FINRA Licenses Series 7, 63, 24, 65.
- Domestic/international travel upwards of 50%.
- You must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without requiring immigration sponsorship now or in the future. This includes holders of H-1B, H4, L-1, L-2, TN, OPT, CPT, and other nonimmigrant visas.

Job posting range: $285,000.00 - $327,800.00
Note the job posting range is exclusive of company benefits or other compensation. In addition to base salary, a portion of your total compensation is based on variable compensation. Actual variable compensation earned is driven by assigned territory and individual sales performance.
