About the Job:

The Innovation Center Lead & Scout (Executive) position in New York City is pivotal to Allianz's innovation strategy, focusing on learning from external entities and setting up a robust network of fintechs, start-ups, venture capitalists, and other strategic partners. This role oversees the operations of the Innovation Centre, ensuring it serves as a dynamic hub for exchanging and discussing the latest ideas and trends, while showcasing cutting-edge innovative solutions. Embracing a customer-centric approach and leveraging diverse expertise, the Innovation Centre Lead plays a crucial role in ensuring that Allianz Group stays ahead of the latest market developments, inspiring internal teams to focus on future-critical topics.



What You Do:

  • Build and maintain a strategic network of fintechs, start-ups, venture capitalists, academia, and research institutes to foster innovation partnerships. 
  • Oversee the operations of the Innovation Centre, ensuring it serves as a hub for co-creation and showcasing innovative solutions. 
  • Act as the "master connector," linking internal stakeholders interested in innovation with the right external partners to drive cutting edge insights exchange and the discussion what the latest trends mean for the Allianz Group. 
  • Curate an engaging showroom experience by identifying, selecting, preparing, and maintaining tech demonstrators that inspire with current possibilities and future trends. 
  • Plan and execute events with internal customers and external partners to foster collaboration and innovation. 
  • Manage relationships with external partners to ensure ongoing collaboration and mutual benefit. 
  • Communicate insights and opportunities to senior leadership and other stakeholders to inform strategic decision-making. 
  • Continuously improve the Innovation Centre's operations and offerings based on feedback and emerging trends. 


What You Bring
:

  • 7-10 years’ professional experience within the startup and venture capital environments, with established connections / contacts in key networks. 
  • 5+ years’  people management experience
  • Solid understanding of IT systems and technologies, enabling you to make informed judgments about the relevance and feasibility of new technology proposals and pitches in relation to Allianz´s IT scope and needs. 
  • Strong organizational, leadership, and relationship-building skills. 
  • Proven experience in managing innovation centers, events, or a related role. 
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. 
  • Entrepreneurial mindset and spirit, demonstrating resilience and positivity while adeptly navigating organizational processes. 
  • Strong customer-centric approach, consistently prioritizing the needs and perspectives of end-customers in all innovation efforts. 
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and manage multiple priorities. 
  • Experience in facilitating partnerships and driving collaborative innovation efforts.


Location:

  • Hybrid, 3-days/week on-site in New York City

The annualized base pay range for this role is $200,000-$260,000. The annual base salary range represents a nationwide market range. The actual salary for this position will be determined by a number of factors, including the scope, complexity and location of the role, and the skills, education, training, credentials and experience of the candidate. The base pay is just one component of the ATA total compensation package. As part of our comprehensive compensation and highly rated benefits programs, ATA also offers eligibility for an incentive-based annual bonus
