Intern European Private Credit
Join us now as an intern in Paris within the European Private Credit Team. In this role, you will be responsible which will give you the opportunity to work on Private Credit investing in Europe.
About the Job
Based in Paris, London, Munich, Rotterdam and Singapore, the Direct Lending platform is composed of 34 investment professionals, including 10 investment professionals in Paris. With c. €10bn AUM, we invest in European low to mid-cap direct lending transactions (including Impact deals), in Emerging Markets and in Asia.
In addition to contributing to the structuring, credit analysis, terms and conditions negotiation, execution and asset monitoring of direct lending transactions in European markets, the position will include various related tasks linked to the growth of the business.
The team’s strategy focuses on LBOs with top-tier private equity, targeting a wide range of investments’ profiles from senior to unitranche transactions and including one of the first unitranche small-cap impact fund – allowing commercial investors to direct their capital in a way that can address their different needs and objectives.
This will be a 6-month placement. The start date will be September 2026.
What you do
- Analyze investment opportunities through meetings with management, financial statement analysis, market studies, due diligence, LBO and corporate transaction modelling, and scenario analysis
- Prepare investment memoranda for the Investment Committee
- Monitor existing investments through financial analysis and meetings with management, and prepare investment reports
- Stay informed about key developments in the European private debt market, including impacts on private credit investing, blended finance, and emerging markets
- Assist in the preparation of marketing materials.
What you bring
- Pursuing or holding a Master’s degree from a business or engineering school or university with a specialization in corporate finance
- Good expertise of Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
- Previous experience in corporate finance (private equity, investment banking, structured finance, transaction services, etc.) is appreciated
- Fluent in French and English and ability to work in an international setup
- A strong analytical approach
- Proactive and positive attitude, with capacity to work under pressure
- Ability to use Microsoft Copilot, with a strong commitment to ethical and responsible AI practices.
- A focus on attention to detail with the ability to work both independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
