Role Summary
The Associate assists Origination Manager and Senior Origination Manager in the analysis, underwriting and closing of mandate-compliant lending transactions for our investors. With growing transaction experience, continuously expand area of responsibility and start acquiring own client relationships and network.
Key Responsibilities
- Financial and cash flow modeling to assess and quantify the risk principles associated with new real estate financing opportunities
- Use internal models to assess loan ratings
- Prepare committee documents and participate in debt investment committee
- Draft appropriately structured term sheets and partially negotiate with borrowers
- Work with internal and external legal advisors to partially negotiate legal documentation
- Carry out property (including ESG), legal and tax real estate due diligence with internal experts & external advisors
- Supports smooth handover to loan management team
Key Requirements
- 3-5 year-experience in real-estate lending / structured financing / private debt
- Advanced graduate degree in Real Estate, Management, Finance, Economics or similar qualifications CFA or RICS is a plus
- Excellent modelling skills on Excel
- Fluent in French and English, an additional European language is a plus
- Curiosity, reactivity and communication/presentation skills
- Good negotiation and commercial skills
- Experience in an international and multicultural business environment
- Ability to navigate across different projects and departments and to work with a wide variety of different people in the organization
- Results orientated with the ability to work under time pressure when necessary, requiring strong organizational and prioritization skills
- Hands-on-mentality and persistence to carry out projects and tasks
- Ability to work in a team
