Are you a sharp financial mind who thrives at the intersection of strategy, data, and operational performance? As Financial Controller – Operations (APAC) at Allianz Partners, you will be the financial backbone of our Operations Steering and Transformation division — driving budgeting, forecasting, and performance analysis across multiple Lines of Business and selected Business Units in the APAC region. Based in Bangkok and collaborating with stakeholders across the region and globally, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring financial health and contributing to Allianz Partners' global strategic goals.


What You'll Do

  • Develop and execute financial plans aligned with organizational targets, translating them into concrete budgets for budget owners across selected APAC Business Units and all Lines of Business
  • Establish and maintain robust financial controls to ensure compliance with Allianz Group policies and guidelines
  • Conduct in-depth financial analyses and deliver actionable insights to support strategic decision-making
  • Monitor financial performance against budgets, identify variances, and recommend corrective actions
  • Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting to senior management and relevant stakeholders
  • Develop financial forecasts and projections to enable proactive resource allocation and planning
  • Coordinate the Operations Planning Dialogue (PD) process and drive automation of data collection, consolidation, and reporting
  • Collaborate across Operations and non-Operations teams to align financial strategies and contribute to cross-functional initiatives
  • Identify financial risks and implement mitigation strategies to safeguard the financial health of Allianz Partners
  • Coordinate external audits, ensuring compliance and accurate representation of Operations financial data

What You'll Bring

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate complex financial data into actionable insights
  • Solid experience in financial controlling, planning, and analysis within a large multinational organization
  • Advanced Excel skills; experience with SAP or a similar financial system is preferred
  • Familiarity with AI-powered tools for financial analysis, forecasting, or reporting automation is an advantage
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to present financial insights clearly to non-financial stakeholders
  • Experience within a large matrix organization, ideally in insurance or assistance, with the ability to navigate complex structures
  • Comfortable working cross-culturally; experience collaborating across APAC or with international stakeholders is an advantage
  • Fluent in English, both written and verbal
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field
