Are you a finance professional with a strong analytical mindset and a passion for turning numbers into meaningful insights? As Financial Controlling Specialist – Operations at Allianz Partners in Bangkok, you will support the financial management of our Operations division — contributing to budgeting, forecasting, and performance analysis across selected Business Units in the APAC region. Working as part of our APAC Performance and Productivity team within Operations Steering and Transformation, you will collaborate with stakeholders locally and internationally, helping to ensure financial accuracy, compliance, and sound decision-making. What You'll Do

  • Support the development and execution of financial plans aligned with organizational targets, helping to translate budgets for budget owners across selected APAC Business Units and Lines of Business
  • Maintain financial controls to ensure compliance with Allianz Group policies and guidelines
  • Conduct financial analyses and contribute actionable insights to support decision-making across Operations
  • Monitor financial performance against budgets, identify variances, and flag corrective actions to relevant stakeholders
  • Prepare accurate and timely financial reports for management and relevant stakeholders
  • Assist in developing financial forecasts and projections to support resource allocation and planning
  • Support coordination of the Operations Planning Dialogue (PD) process and contribute to automation of data collection, consolidation, and reporting
  • Collaborate across Operations and non-Operations teams to align on financial data and contribute to cross-functional initiatives
  • Support identification of financial risks and assist in implementing mitigation strategies
  • Assist in coordinating external audits, ensuring compliance and accurate representation of Operations financial data

 

What You'll Bring

  • 5+ years of experience in financial controlling, planning, reporting and analysis, ideally within a multinational organization
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate financial data into clear, actionable insights
  • Advanced Excel skills; experience with SAP or a similar financial system is preferred
  • Solid understanding of budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting processes
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to present financial information clearly to non-financial stakeholders
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple deliverables in a structured, detail-oriented way
  • Familiarity with AI-powered tools for financial analysis, forecasting, or reporting automation is an advantage
  • Some exposure to a matrix organization is helpful; insurance or assistance industry experience is a plus but not required
  • Comfortable collaborating with international stakeholders; prior APAC exposure is an advantage
  • Fluent in English, both written and verbal
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field
