Senior Product Specialist, Fixed Income

Join us now as Senior Product Specialist in Hong Kong within the Product Specialist Fixed Income team. In this role, you will be responsible for serving as an advocate for Global and Asian Fixed Income investment strategies marketed in the Asia Pacific region. Excellent knowledge of global bond markets, investment strategies and products are key to this role, as are strong communication, thought leadership and client engagement skills.

Being part of the Product Specialists group within the Product Solutions & Marketing area, while also being embedded into the Fixed Income investment platform, at the interface between portfolio management and distribution. You will report to the Head of Product Specialists Fixed Income

What you do

• Work closely with CIOs, investment and distribution teams to advocate Global and Asian Fixed Income strategies internally and externally.
• Represent CIOs and investment teams at client, consultant, marketing and conference events across Asia Pacific.
• Support distribution teams with business development and product training for client presentations.
• Create product content and commentary for institutional and retail investors, covering value proposition, process, holdings, exposures, key figures and risk-return analysis.
• Track product performance and explain positioning versus markets, benchmarks and peers.
• Lead investment content for RFPs, due diligence and marketing, in consultation with CIOs.
• Contribute to AllianzGI product development initiatives for covered strategies.

What you bring

• Academic degree in Economics, Finance or similar field of study.
• Ideally minimum 15 years of relevant professional experience in a product specialist role, portfolio management, retail or institutional sales, business management or high-end product management role preferred.
• Excellent knowledge of global bond markets, investment strategies and products is advantageous.
• Strong communication skills, ability to tailor a message for a diverse range of audiences and to clearly articulate investment content.
• CFA, CEFA or CIIA qualified or similar qualifications would be an asset.
• Experience in working in a large financial institution and strong networking ability.
• Entrepreneurial and organised, with the ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
• IT literate, experienced user of ppt, doc, xls and ideally of VBA.
• Written and verbal command of English and Mandarin
• AI skills: Microsoft CoPilot, ChatGPT, Artificial Intelligence (AI)
