Senior Product Specialist Fixed Income

As a (Senior) Product Specialist, Fixed Income, you will be part of the Product Specialists group within the Product Solutions & Marketing area, while also being embedded in the Fixed Income investment platform at the interface between portfolio management and distribution. You will report to the Head of Product Specialists, Fixed Income Credit, Fixed Income, and serve as an advocate Global, US and Asian Fixed Income strategies marketed in the Asia-Pacific region. Excellent knowledge of global bond markets, investment strategies, and products is key to this role, as are strong communication, thought leadership, and client engagement skills.

What you will do

• Work closely with CIOs, as well as investment and distribution teams, to serve as both an internal and external advocate for investment strategies, with a focus on global fixed income products.
• Act as the external voice of the CIOs and investment teams by presenting at client and consultant meetings, as well as at marketing events and large conferences across Asia-Pacific markets—including Singapore and Southeast Asia, Hong Kong and Greater China Offshore, Taiwan, South Korea, and Japan.
• Become an effective business partner by supporting the business development activities of distribution teams and providing training on the technical aspects required to present investment strategies and products to clients.
• Develop product content and commentary that meet the needs of institutional and retail investors, with an emphasis on the client value proposition, investment process, portfolio holdings and exposures, key metrics, and risk-return analysis.
• Stay abreast of product performance and explain performance drivers and positioning relative to market developments, benchmark indices, and peers.
• Lead internal and external communication of investment-related content for RFPs, due diligence, and marketing purposes, in consultation with the CIOs.
• Participate in product development initiatives within AllianzGI Product Solutions related to the strategies under coverage.

What you bring

• Academic degree in Economics, Finance, or a related field.
• Ideally, a minimum of 7 years of relevant professional experience in a product specialist role, portfolio management, retail or institutional sales, business management, or a high-end product management role.
• Excellent knowledge of global bond markets, investment strategies, and products is advantageous.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to tailor messages to a diverse range of audiences and clearly articulate investment content.
• CFA, CEFA, CIIA, or similar qualifications would be an asset.
• Experience working in a large financial institution, along with strong networking skills.
• Entrepreneurial and organized, with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• IT literate, with experience in PowerPoint, Word, Excel, and ideally VBA.
• Strong written and verbal command of English, Cantonese, and Mandarin.
• Experience with Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Microsoft CoPilot.
