Job Purpose

 

This role contributes to the achievement of the Allianz Asia Pacific (AZAP) business strategy by supporting the Regional Head of People CoE to drive the regional People and Culture strategy and plan, to deliver the agreed initiatives and services in line with standards as determined by the Group People and Culture team and AZAP Regional CPCO.  
Under the People CoE, the team covers topics –Talent Management, Learning & Development, Talent Acquisition, Strategic Workforce Planning, DEI, Health and Employee engagement.

This role will take the lead on the topic of Learning, Talent Development, DEI, Health and Employee engagement and drive these topics across the Operating Entities (OEs) in AZAP to ensure globally consistent and local relevant initiatives and services are delivered. 

In addition, this role also provides consultation and engagement with the OE People CoE team and HRDs to ensure operational and strategic needs are anticipated and addressed. 

 

What you do

 

  • Responsible for driving a learning culture across the region including driving specific Learning KPIs and regional / group reportings; Drive regional learning and leadership programs to build next generation leaders. Implement global learning requirements and drive adoption of various learning initiatives in the region
  • Support in talent development for the region including driving development centres (wih external parties), talent programs, mobility, succesison planning and support regional calbrations with Heads
  • Create and execute regional DEI, Engagement and Health and Wellness strategy in line with the Group’s standards to attract and engage top candidates and employees; other topics may be added, where fit
  • Provide advisory, consultation and best practice sharing on People CoE topics to OE People CoE teams, HRDs and business leaders in AZAP
  • Provide upskilling activities to ensure OE People and Culture teams, OE business leaders are well equipped in People COE topics and able to drive them effectively locall
  • Govern the consistent implementation of People CoE functional rules e.g. Fit & Proper and global processes in OEs
  • Actively contribute to HR strategic and operational planning processes in the Regional People CoE
  • Is an active member of the People CoE community. Leverage best practices and build synergies for the benefit of the region and local OE
  • Acts as program manager for regional initiatives where relevan
  • Analyse HR KPIs and metrics to create data drive decisions in partnership with the OEs

 

What you bring

 

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications (Business, Human Resource Management or Psychology) 
  • Min 8 years of relavant experience
  • Extensive human resource management experience, including experience in leading at least one of the topics – Talent management, L&D, OD, Employee Engagement, DEI
  • Experience leading and implementing organisation wide change either regionally or globall
  • Strong people leadership capability and ability to articulate clear and positive future direction
  • Proven ability to manage employees operating in a matrix management structur
  • Ability to comfortably move between strategy and operational executio
  • Strong commercial acumen, financial literacy, data analytics and decision making skill
  • Comfort with online technology, particularly HR related systems and processes
  • Willingness and ability to attend telephone conferences outside of normal business hour
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in English, additional languages, – especially those spoken in the Asian region is preferred.
  • Previous exposure to a heavily regulated customer focused industry including consulting
  • Capacity to rapidly acquire an understanding of the insurance industry and its operation
  • Prior experience using SAP SuccessFactors module
  • Previous experience in talent and learning topic
  • Public speaking and presentation experienc
  • Previous exposure to financial services secto
  • Experience working cross-geographies, especially in Asia, and with global team
  • AI-skills e.g. ChatGPT &/or Copilot an advantage
