Your Role in Our Team

 

Join Allianz SE Reinsurance Branch Asia Pacific as a Finance Intern and gain hands-on exposure across Financial Reporting & Treasury, Controlling, Risk Management and Compliance. You will work closely with experienced professionals and contribute to key business, regulatory and strategic initiatives within the reinsurance industry.

 

How You Will Contribute

 

Financial Reporting & Treasury


•    You will support monthly and quarterly closing activities.
•    You will assist in regulatory and statutory reporting requirements.
•    You will support treasury activities including banking administration and FX management.

Risk & Compliance


•    You will assist in risk management, compliance monitoring and governance activities.
•    You will support the annual Own Risk and Solvency Assessment (ORSA), stress testing and risk reporting.
•    You will participate in compliance-related projects, sustainability initiatives and regulatory reviews.

Business Planning & Controlling


•    You will support budgeting, expense monitoring and cost management activities.
•    You will assist in financial analysis, management reporting and performance tracking.
•    You will participate in process improvement and automation initiatives.

Projects & Corporate Initiatives


•    You will contribute to Finance Transformation Projects, including system implementation and process documentation.
•    You will support corporate responsibility, sustainability and employee engagement activities.
•    You will conduct research, prepare presentations and provide support on ad hoc assignments.

 


What You Bring to the Table

 

•    You are able to commit for at least 6 months (January–June 2027), with a minimum of 3 full days per week. Priority will be given to candidates who can commit full-time.
•    You are currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Accountancy, Finance, Economics, Business, Actuarial Science, or a related discipline.
•    Prior insurance or reinsurance experience is advantageous but not required.
•    You are fluent in English. Fluency in other Asian languages is an advantage.
•    You have strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a desire to learn and prepare for a career in the reinsurance industry.
•    You are a team player with a service-oriented mindset, and you are adaptable, meticulous, proactive, and self-motivated.
•    You are able to work both independently and collaboratively, with strong communication skills and a willingness to learn.
•    You are proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
